    Mk1 Exhaust

Cheers mate exhaust is sorted for k ow if you're breaking a mk1 I could do with a couple of bits passenger side front woodeffect window switch and what i think is the transmission line that runs from the front to the gearbox resovoiur under the car via the downpipe if you can help with these parts would be much appreciated pm me with a price Inc delivery cheers mate
  2. In 3yrs as mydaily driver never felt that it was drinking fuel funny enough as my mate was complaining about his is200 which costs him! £50 to do a 90mile trip when I mentioned what I do and cost he was amazed on how economical the mk1gs is in 3yrs as a daily driver it has been trouble free
  3. You got me thinking mate so Just got into the car to check the odometer working out to 28mpg I love my Lex its my pride and joy so any doubts about it not operating right I need to have it sorted asap I have ocd when it comes to my Lex lol
  4. Everything is fine apart from very slight blow from the exhaust that just started engine is smooth as is the compression all good never given me any problem why do you think there's something wrong
  5. Yes mate that's driving conservatively if I decide to stretch the lexuses legs I get low to mid 70miles my mates aristo jzs161 fuel consumption is compared to the gs430 driving conservatively but once you let it open it will drink as fast as the second Turbo kicks in
  6. £30 gets me over 200 miles on the motorway driving at the speed limits and around town I would get around 80ish miles full history never failed an mot in 19years mk1 1993 gs300 149k this is my daily driver
  7. Thanks its on going project aswell as my daily driver looked into hydraulic suspension simple kit up down in the UK roughly £2200 a few years back found one company in the UK for a body kit but didn't have the full kit in stock just the skirts and rear bumper and that's it will have to fabricate some sort of kit myself at some point and make the curtains would work out alot cheaper lol
  8. Yes but it could also just be slammed big wheels and little upgraded touches to the exterior and interior to make it into VIP in my view i would like to have it more on the executive boardroom style of the VIP side as most parts to get them shipped to the UK would cost an earth and as we all know there is very little in aftermatket parts available yo us here
  9. The plan was to keep everything looking standard just to bring it up to 2012 spec as you can see the modifications have all been kept neat and tidy so its not obvious to most people other than those of us in the know also using good quality parts also makes a major difference as the quality is kept in order with the Lexus refinements I am looking at getting the bottom half resprayed at some point and try and source some decent set of OEM Lexus wheels from the new generation as to the tints it would only be ultra light smoke keeping to factory set ups exhaust will have to be custom built but that also will be kept looking standard no loud bore hopefully once finished it will be a clean example I have owned it over 3yrs and it has only needed a battery alternator and starter lower arms very extensive history which I have kept going now consisting of 15 stamps
  10. Quick update tinted the front fogs yellow jdm style got the car mot another 13 months of no advisory driving next on the list is an exhaust and uprated brakes and I am contemplating if I should tint the rear windows or not I have also bought a new project a Nissan 200sx s14a so have been spending alot of time on it the last few weeks will post updated pics soon
  11. it could be a siezed calliper and as for the clunking noise check that the calliper bolt is in and tighten as one of the mechanics apprentice forgot to do one on mine and i had told them to recheck to make sure all was tighten relived the clunking noise for me
  12. or you can try the meguires plastix on thge headlights and for extra quick results as above message and use the meguires plastix as the compound i have used it on all classic cras and have had good results as the layers build up it will get clear
  13. i used to work gor a tyre company i would say go to a local tyre company and ask the to reseal the tyres as sometimes the beading can loosen it can be due to not haven sealent fitted in the first place commonly with part worn tyre or not having the inside of the rim cleaned before applying new tyres once you have that done if the problem occurs then it might be due to the fact that the tyre might have deformed in some way if its a brand new tyre you will still have warrenty against defects
  14. That's a good price considering majority of people's premium have risen I managed to get my mk1 gs for £400 fully comp 10 years NCB and 33 years old I was well chuffed saved £200 from last year meant I could also get my Nissan 200sx insured to lucky for me the first time since I've been buying insurance I finaly got a quote that I'm happy with what I have realised is have a fair price in mind and try and get it as close as possible to that as most insurers can match any quotes if they want to especially if they have not met there targets
