  1. The caliper from the is300 did fit on my is200, but the bracket i bought did not fit since it had different threads
  2. I know that they have the same disks and wheel bearings but I'm just wondering if someone can confirm that the IS300 and the IS200 have exactly the same calipers and caliper brackets? I'm asking this because I need the change them and it costs as much as 700£ for the parts here in Norway. But if the IS300 parts can be used I can get them for a fraction of the price from the US.   3. ahh thanks man. Now i see that i have been trying to install them the wrong way . Gave it another go after watching your guide and the parts fit great :D. Now my car is finaly rattle free . You shoud post that post on the workshop part on this forum too man.
  4. Tried to put the anti rattle clip on today but the D**N thing did not fit. Can anyone confirm that I have the wrong parts, the partnumber on the parts i have are 04948-30071 and the clips look like this: My is is a 2000 model.
  5. Ok, went to the local Toyota dealer today and he orderd a kit for me. Will get it in a couple of weeks :)
  6. Ok, now I know what the problem is: Looks like I need to buy a anti rattle clip. Do I need anything more? Do you know the part number of the clip?? Eventualy where to buy this? Thanks for the help so far, you guys are the best :D EDIT: The holes on the brake pads are way bigger than the pad guide pin. Shoud it be like that??
  7. Is there a guide/howto strip slides/pads? I'm not a mechanic but I have tools and i can do it myself i someone tells me how :)
  8. There are some other knocking/rattling sounds when I drive over bumps too, so I think it may be worth a try:)

  10. Hi My Lexus has started making a very annoying rattling sound from the rear. When driving at slow speeds i hear it very loud. It goes away if i press the break pedal very ligthly. Does anyone have a idea what is causing this? Mattjin
  11. Hi The discbrake cover on the front left side on my car has broken. A part of it has corroded so its loose and it is making a very annoying rattling noise. If you don't understand what part i mean please look at the picture. I woud be very happy if someone have one for sale :)
  12. Oh really?? But it still got the same color code?(1CO) Because i have a 1999 silver lexus and the touch up paint for it is way to dark :duh:
