  1. well, i took all mine off think it looks class. but if leaving any on just leave on the centre one!! ian
  2. well, the way i did it was you have to remove the engine radiator with the water in it which involves removing the two brackets on top, one on each side with one bolt in each bracket (you will see them they curve over the radiator to clamp it down). disconnect the two radiator hoses going from the engine to the radiator, water will empty from the rad (you will need coolant for when filling it back up). then if you look at the two fans on your radiator there are two wire connectors, one onto each disconnect both of them and then that rad will just pull up to you!! then you will see the air con rad. there are two pipes going onto this that will need to be disconnected you will see a bolt that clamps each of these on! be careful with these they are fragile and kink very easy. you will also need to remove the top grill on the front which your lexus badge sits on, which involves removing the screws at both sides and the one in the middle, that then clips back on the bottom of it and pulls up to you careful again! when you look in you will see where the air con rad is bolted on each side!! it then pulls back into the engine bay and out!! any questions just ask ha. ian
  3. well dont have car it at work but 90% it is the power steering belt. . look into the engine bay and if its the belt going to the left its the power steering one cause power steering pump is on the left. and if its going to the right its the altenator one! (that right and left is as your looking into the engine bay) but nearly 100% without looking it is the one for power steering! ian
  4. well, you should not spray an oil on it to start off with as that will make it worse!! water will do the job of checking to see will a belt stop squealing. the belts are one is for power steering and the other is the charging for the altenator. and some have a third one for air con!
  5. well , its nice you see im fighting the offers off lol . . i have videos but they wont load up for me sorry. im thinking now with lack of offers in going for plan C and bring the car over to yer island to see can ye help me out!! weekend away ha ha. i think she is so nearly there on running right that somebody who has done a few of them might have the lucky touch ian
  6. well just a bit of background for those of you who think im mad!! lol this car has been off the road now over year and half and i had mechcnicl part done in month and half between waiting for parts nd all. . so rest of time i have been screwed round again and again and spent way too much money. . and its still not right. ill put up video clip tomorrow let ye hear it!! and iv not many places to face and not much money left and really getting sick of driveing a diesel van ha. so need some results and as far as i can see over here i can rely on nobody only myself. . lol ian also here some pics
  7. well ian from ireland ere with a turbo is200 that i did the work myself on as i am a mechanic. put in the PE 550 injectors plus emanage ultimate and done everything but things not able to work out over here for me. nobody capable of mapping it and getting it right. saying emanage not good enough and injectors too big all bull **** as anyone on here with turbos are running similiar set ups.. so my plan B as at this stage i would settle for less power is that if there is anyone out there with a supercharger that is looking to upgrade. . i would down grade so what you would need i will have. . all with only less 100 miles done. garett T28 ball bearing turbo + cast manifold with heat shield, stainless downpipe, greddy emanage+greedyboost sensor, PE550injectos, sard fuel pressure reg, induction kit plus anything else needed. so if anybody thinks they have any interest just give me a pm thanx
  8. where to go next???

  9. well. . just keep an eye on it, look at it again after a while and if it is oily again there are seals between rocker cover and the coil cyclinders to keep out the oil they can sometime perish and leak a drop! a lot of oil will do damage to packs but residue should not, might not even come back after you cleaned it. .
  10. sorry just the two lads that i know with SE had standard lexus 16inch alloys and no sunroof! but have leather interior and alloy sills and pedals. .
  11. the real sport has 17 alloys minimum, LSD, traction control, sunroof, leather interior, tinted rear windows, different rear exhaust box and will say sport on the tax book
  12. well i am 100% sure that an 1GFE engine in an is200 has a timing/cam belt. changed my own myself
  13. did you try pulling the connector off injector two too see if the engine ticking over changed that would tell you if the injector was the only fault on that cyclinder if it stays the same it is injector if it gets worse the injector is firing. .
  14. well i solved the problem thanks for all the help :winky: One of the websites i was told about was: (thanks stav) http://bahamutcars.f...8-05/index.html another i found out about was: http://www.gizzmoelectronics.com go into the support section, under pin outs, see altezza and 1GFE engine is there hope this helps. .
  15. just checking but did you use a right light oil for the power steering as a heavy oil could cause that? cause if the oil was heavy it will still thin out when hot and work fine. . after that sorry to say but id be looking at the power steering pump!
  16. iano21

    Why?

that just eliminates that switch, have you a good brake? if one of the vacuum pipes was leaking on the brakes (also in that corner lol) it would also have the same affect and bring on that light. .
  17. iano21

    Why?

just making sure :winky: try take off the wires and see does the light go out? might narrow it down for ya..
  18. well. . i think its a map sensor not maf that is on that car. . it is right behind the throttle body. . maybe you pulled wire off it or the vacuum pipe came off when changing throttle body. it has vacuum sensor written on a sticker on the top of it. it is there just hard see just look over the throttle body and it is slightly to the left of it behind it.
  19. iano21

    Why?

well, If your find it is not electrical, look under bonnet and check the level of your brake fluid in the back left corner as your looking into the engine bay. . if the fluid is low the light will come on! there is a sensor on top of the container that puts on that light also to tell you brake fluid is low.
  20. when you decide on which filter ure getting find out about filter ask him what size piping the rubber that comes with the filter is for, then get piping to suit. and ya jubilee clips will be used!
  21. TIme and patience lol! you will need a silicone elbow (SFS, samco, autobahn 88) for the throttle body + Clips, stainless piping (look the best) usual 60mm used can use bigger. need to drill a hole in that for the air temp sensor the rubber for holding that is already in your standard lexus intake, be able to weld on or make up a bracket to hold the pipe to front of engine usually on top near VVTi cover, but there needs to be bend at rough 45deg half way down so you will need either someone who can bend piping or buy another silicone 45deg elbow to turn it towards back of light and then the filter at other end!
  22. Either get an induction kit that goes to the drivers side or make one that does. passenger side will not work not enough room. did you look at the prolex one? that is good example to work off! and the size of the adapter for the filter will depend on the pipe used from the throttle body! you need to decide whether you are goin to buy a kit or make one. . then measurments can be gotten! the exhaust will deepen the sound but twil be same volume as standard sport box!cause it is a silent hi power!
  23. hey sorry mate no i dont have one and also my car now has a turbo and full stainless exhaust so wud sound that be different lol, but had it on car before put on turbo and was quiet! ya dont get the one that goes over the exhaust manifold cause heat rises unfortunatley lol and your induction kit would just soak it up. if you go onto prolex website and see that induction kit you will see what i mean as an example. . it goes from the throttle body to front left corner as your looking at it. But that kit from prolex is fine looks well but filter that comes with it is not great, so if going down that road ask for it without filter and get a good make . . HKS/Apexi etc. but other people have this same idea just search round!!
  24. well, I have the HKS hi power and yes the altezza exhaust is the same from cat back. but thing worth noting is they say that HKS exhaust is cat back but it is really an axle back as all you get is the rear section. there are four sections on your car manifold which has two cats in it, the section with main cat, mid-section with small box in it and then back box. That Hi power is also the silent version for the lexus which makes it quiet. nice hum but that about it. replacing the cats will only on standard car give you little bit extra power(very very small) but mostly will just give better response and better sound! The induction side of things just try get an induction kit that does not go over the exhaust manifold e.g. powertec. There are ones that come out front between front of engine and radiator as you need the air to be as cold as you can get it especially on N/A car.
  25. well this is ian from Ireland again, ha two topics in two days sorry!! My car is currently being mapped in north of ireland, it is a 1999 RHD 1GFE is200 English model. does anyone have a fully ECU pinout diagram. . really stuck for it to change a wire before mapping can continue!! any help would be greatly appreciated. . Thanx. Tried looking through the forums and even rang the lexus dealerships tried two different places and might as well have rang a nissan dealer both turns for the help they were!!
