  1. Great - thanks. I'll pass the info onto the garage.
  2. I've got a W reg (2000) IS200, 150K. Has recently developed a problem where it won't start if it's been driven for a while (over half an hour) and then stopped for a few minutes. The key will turn and electrics come on but the turning over noise isn't right and it engine doesn't start or catch. If I leave it for a while (at least 15-20 mins) then it will start ok - so it seems to be related to to the car being hot because if I drive for 10mins, stop and restart it's fine - issue only happens when it's been driven for a while. Obviously am going to take to local garage (no specialists in East Kent) but it's going to be more tricky for them to reproduce so any ideas or suggestions as to what could be causing this? Only know fault is the Bank 1 Sensor 1 Oxygen Sensor Heater Circuit has failed (but that's been like that for nearly 3 years). New battery last year and pretty sure the spark plugs have been replaced in last couple of years
  3. Mine's a W reg IS200, and I've had it since new (it was my company car for 3 years then I bought it for 12K in 2003 - best £12k I ever spent). Mileage is currently around 142K. Sailed through last MOT with no advisories. Never broken down, never had anything go wrong other than regular wear and tear. Despite being serviced by Lexus till about 2016 they had never replaced the cam belt - caught it just in time in 2019 when the garage also replaced the radiator (as they broke it). I'm getting some clunking/squealing from the steering at full lock/cold that I need to get looked at but otherwise it's still sweet to drive.
  4. Up until now the area has been central London but from 25th October it will increase to pretty much everything inside the North/South circular (although those roads themselves are not included) It's 24hrs a day, every day (except Christmas Day) and is £12.50 a day. Unfortunately the minimum standard for emissions is Euro 4 and my IS200 (2000) is only Euro 3 I got a letter today from TFL (via the DVLA) confirming this. You can supply evidence if you want to query the status.
  5. I think I've been very lucky. I've had my 2000 plate IS200 from new (3 years company car and then I bought it off the lease firm). Had it serviced by local Lexus garage till about 5 years ago. Only done 130K so definitely serviced by Lexus at 60K. Engine Management light came on few weeks ago, local (non-specialist) garage plugged it in, showed P1346, possible camshaft position issue. Advised me to check when the cam belt was last replaced. Checked my Lexus garage paperwork and couldn't find any mention of it being replaced. Tried calling them to check but they only keep service records for 2 years (!). So called my local independent specialist (UK Tecknics in Maidenhead) and took it over there and here's the state of mine... seems likely it's never been replaced Eeek! I've left it with them to replace... Thanks for the pinned post here otherwise I would not have realised how serious this could be.
