  1. Two car magazines whose reviews are considered reliable give 3 stars ( what car) and 5 stars (parkers) for the IS 200. Its understandable to have a difference of 1 star between reveiws but a difference of 2 stars does make one wonder whether you should give much importance to these.
  2. If your car was lost with the keys then it might be difficult to put in an insurance claim.
  3. An anti car-jacking system would be an extra option if you are worried about keys being nicked from the house.
  4. does gold class make a difference with dark colous only? Has anyone used it on lighter colours?
  5. I do play tapes regularly although less frequently than the Cd. I do like analogue music for its warmth and richness.
  6. I don't mind as long as you "digital" guys don't recommend to lexus, to get rid of the cassette player in their next edition of IS200! :)
  7. Would it be possible to have manuals on the LOC site? It certainly would help owners who have lost it or did not get one for whatever reason. Also could help clarify issues for those who are looking to buy a lexus.
  8. sorry, i probably didnt make it very clear. the second sentence should have been, when the Cd player is running unless the cassette is ejected it (cassette) continues to run.
  9. when you play the cassette does the CD drive switch itself off automatically? I have noticed that it its the other way round, unless the cassette is ejected it continues to run.
  10. i supppose the only way to be certain would be to park by the side of an IS 200 or a sport and just see if there is a difference. But lexus models are rare gems anyway!
  11. it is a new lexus but parellel import
  12. Hi, Is there any element of tint in the front and rear windows on the IS200 at all? If so roughly how much percentage? I gather the sport version is about 40% tinted in the rear. Certainly my IS200 side windows look tinted (even so in the rear ones) compared to the windscreen and compared to any other untinted car.
  13. thanks for the info. reducing the pressure down has made a big difference, obviously to the ride
  14. When I bought by new lexus from motorpoint, Derby, I had a very bumpy ride all the way back home to Portsmouth. :o I thought it might just be due to being a new car!! Then I had the sense to check the tire pressure and found out that they were at a mammoth 52 psi for my 215/45. I suppose cars in Holland cruise usually at speeds of >160mph?
  15. but surely there must be a way of knowing beforehand when you buy the car? I mean the audio system, alarm etc?
