  1. Don't read the manual (it confuses more then' helps). i totally agree, the manual for teins are abosolute bollocks. i just slapped them on and then adjusted them till i got the ride height i wanted.
  2. I brought my TEIN's from the guy in your link (MJD), exellent service, i ordered before 11am and i had them in my possesion 10am the next day, top service.
  3. it depends on how long you want to go, i think most reliable springs you can get lower by 30-35mm. any lower and the factory shocks will have alot to cope wit yea you wont find coilovers for around £300, and my god if you do dont buy them, because with coilovers you basically get what you pay for. i got a set of tein super street on mine, lowered 60mm and i paid £700 for them as a general guide. i beleive most people on here who have lowered on springs have gone for the TTE springs which lower by 30mm i believe.
  4. what colour does 6000k give? a little bit blue? I have tried 8000k and 10000, looks no different to me.. =( 6000K will give you a pure white light, 8000k will give you a whitey bluish light 1000k will give you more of a blue light. ive got 8000k in mine, and do probs so far with mot or police.
  5. hi, thanx for the reply and input... £150 for all bushes from PRI racing??? the above screen grabs and prices ARE from PRI Racing, so unless ive missed something can you direct me to the link please. thanks.
  6. im 26 with 7 years no claims and im still paying £912 fully comp and that is the cheapest found online, next one nearest to that was £1250 by flux wchich is suprising because i only used to pay £290 fully compy for my mk4 golf gti turbo.
  7. heres a pic of mine lowered about 60mm on standard 5 spokes, however its on coilovers. no rubbing at all unless i go over a speed bump thats really bad... the wheels tuck into the arches nicely when i got passengers in the back
  8. hi mate, both the chassis are more or less the same, there are a few bits ands bots that are different. the gxe10, is basically your is200 chassis, the sxe10 is the altezza chassis, however it is just about the same.. i bought a set of coilies a few weeks ago and had them fitted to my is which is a gxe10 chassis, however the coilies were advertised as sxe10, so i am confident in saying the coilies that you seen that specify the chassis, will fit your care. i went around in circles about the same issue a few weeks ago.
  9. hi guys, i really need some help here, i need to but some bushes for the lex, however i just want to buy bushes and not the full arms as the total was just over £1000 in parts... i couldnt beleive it when they quoated me that. i am uploading some diagrams of the rear and front suspension assembly and i have circled in red which bushes i require, please guys i would appreciate it if you could tell me what they are.. i have also included a list of polyurethane bushes so if someone would kindly point out which i need it would be alot of help.. first up the rear... now the front... and now the list of bushes available, if someone could point out which i need. thanks alot guys.
  10. holy thread revival batman...... why dont some people just buy a bypass lead, it only cost £20, if people can afford to run a lexus then they can afford that. the factory amp is not made to be used with aftermarket head units by the way.
  11. i got mine from them. i got it on the third day after ordering, considering i ordered late at night, id say that would be next day from dispatch..
  12. DOT4 fluid my friend... make sure you dont spill any on your paintwork or you will be in trouble.
  13. £652 + £10 next day delivery..., ive got it set on soft and personally i think its more comfortable than the oem damping.. so far only one scrape, but im sure if your from leicester you'l know how bad the speed bump can get, specially potholes on some roads..lol

  15. well i got the coilovers fitted today, and i am well pleased with the result, here are some photos, what you guys think?? i need to get it down to wim to get the tracking done, but i need alot of bushes changing first...
  16. yea i know what your trying to say ejan, but i rang him and asked excactly what he meant, he told me to measure the distance from the centre of the wheel to the top centre of the arch, and decide what measurment i want so i did and it was about 360mm, considering it is a sport it is 15mm lower than other models, so i think im going to go with a height of 330mm which should mean there is a drop of 45mm from standard if that make sense.. can anyome comment if 330mm is ok, or too high or too low.. the tyres are 215/45/17 on standard lex alloys
  17. iv just taken delivery of my coilovers, their the tein super street ones.... now to my next question, the car is booked in for friday to have them fitted.. i really need help on this, the dude asked me what ride height i want, and i said i want a 40mm drop, but he replied, yea but what ride height because i may have different tyres etc etc so it will be different on other lexus.. the car is a 2001 is200 sport, what ride height do you guys reccomend which wont cause me problem.... ideally i wanted between a 30-40mm drop, but i dnt understand that in ride height terms... thanks
  18. thank you... i was looking at the TEIN ones last night as an entry level kit.... any views on them?
  19. hi, im looking to get a set of coilovers sometime next week, but i have no clue which ones to get.. can anyone reccomend any and the best place to buy..... it would be greatly appreciated... thanks.
  20. you can take the remote feed of the ciggarette lighter feed, thats what i did on a previous car. as for the rca feed. the factory h.u wont have rca outputs, for your best to use line level input if your amplifier supports it. for that you will have to use the feed from the rear speakers however you lose the rear speakers.
  21. mine does the same, apart from cutting out when its running.. i gave it a good service, since then its seems to have minimized the problem to something like once every 2 months or so.
  22. when i crashed my previous car, my insurance company reccomended robins and day in leicester, thats on the same road as the b&q, just meed to turn right at the traffic lights if your coming up from the belgrave roundabout. they did an absolute brilliant job, couldnt even find one fault.
