  1. I won't be around much from now on as i'm setting off tomorrow morning to Bruntingthorpe for a pre-event final briefing, i'll try and log on at the hotel but if not i'll see you all sunday ;) Their is a couple of track places going so first come first served on the gate for those at this late stage. Their is also an official photographer an he will be located in the Toyota trailer from about 2.30 for you to purchase a cd of your favourite pictures of the day. Really looking forward to this now :D
  2. Somebody on another forum asked if they could and i said yes, it's the same as me saying yes to the 2 skyline's out on track last year which were members of the MKIV Supra Club. The 1/4 mile was always going to be run at a loss but i did expect more than 38, 150 cars could have run easily with no more than a 15 min wait after the first hour had passed.
  3. Put your spoon away Barry, their's only 4 skyline's up to now. As for cost's the 1/4 mile is £3500 and we have 38 cars signed up which includes the Skyline's so you do the math.
  4. Some times & info for you all. Entry onsite from 8am. Signing on begins at 8.30am for track & 1/4mile. 9.30am track safety briefing, all signed up for the track to attend. 9.30am, convoy leaves the pit area to go to the 1/4mile area. The only access to the 1/4 mile area is by convoy and a convoy will be leaving the pit area at every half hour, 9.30, 10.00, 10.30 etc......... A convoy will be leaving the 1/4 mile area at the same time for those that wish to return to the pit area. 9.45am all those going on track out for a sighting lap. 10am 1/4mile starts. 10am All track day newbies out together to be shown the racing line. 10.20am Open pit lane until lunch and the times for lunch tbc on the day. 4pm 1/4 mile shootouts. 4.30pm track closes. Marshall's needed, please pm me if interested in helping your club out

  7. No, it's a toll road not a racetrack :winky: Floro "vest" and any colour will do. I've been out for a lap with Sabine btw :D :D :D
  8. Some news just in today, the 1/4 mile is now been run by Straightliner's the people who run TOTB so all time's from this event are valid for TOTBV qualification so this must be the cheapest event that the times are valid for TOTBV :D Format for the 1/4 mile is 10am to 4pm with a shootout starting at 4pm between the 4 fastest car's in each class, the classes are- Prolex UK Fastest Lexus Prolex UK Fastest N/A Lexus Prolex UK Fastest FWD Toyota Prolex UK Fastest RWD Toyota Prolex UK Fastest 4WD Toyota Prolex UK Special Prize For The Slowest Car Of The Day Each class shootout is 1st v 3th & 2nd v 4rd & the winner of each heat is in the final of each class. Big thank's from Dave from Prolex for his involvement with this event from the start :D This as you will guess i'll copy and paste to each of the 6 Toyota clubs attending except GT4OC as they have gone into hiding with their forum but hopefully this will be the biggest Toyota Club turnout of the year :D
  9. EHIC=European Health Insurance Card which has replaced the old E111. Your certainly up on your hi vis That AA link doesn't mention hi vis but the site that i use say's it is now compulsory in Belgium.
  10. Have just popped this up on TOC, might help some who haven't been before- Thing's you will need to take with you by LAW New for this year is High Vis Vests and you MUST have 1 for every person in the car (thank's Belgium) GB badge on your car, a numberplate with a GB logo is accepted. Warning Triangle First Aid Box Fire Extinguisher Spare Bulb Set as you will be fined if pulled over for a defective light and cannot do anything about it. Bulb Deflectors (you will need them on as you must put your lights on if it is raining or the conditions are dark) Documents that need to be in your car when you are driving Passport V5 Driving Liscense Insurance Cert (some insurers still issue green cards so you will need to carry that if they still issue them) Thing's That I Want You To Do As Chris has said get a EHIC. Get European Breakdown Cover for the Trip BUT not with the AA or RAC as they will not recover anywhere near the Ring. Make sure your breaks & tyres are in very good condition and that your car is fit for the Ring. When you call your insurance up in April you are going to Koblenz for Easter, tis where the Rhine and the Mosel meets don't you know :winky: For those that tinker with their cars you'll all know what tool's you use the most so bring them just incase. If you have a towrope bring it as you are more than likely to be around another member out on track so if you have a off you can have a quick hook up an off as you don't want to be paying for armco and a tow. Drive safely and well within your limits, if you cannot see the next corner or track infront due to a crest it will more than likely turn out to be turning the way you wouldn't expect it so slow down. Last year we had nothing worse than a few knackered brakes and a clutch on it's way out so the same attititude again please peeps ;) Port to hotel driving and vice versa, don't speed peeps as the fines are huge so stay in convoy please. Also at the ring if you are going to the garage for fuel don't speed down the road as the police last year were hiding behind the parked cars with the laser gun. If i think of owt else i'd add it on in a seperate post and just think in 7 week's time we will be on our way back
  11. Twas a pleasure seeing you all again and no doubt we'll be doing it all again next month at Bolney :D Nice quote from the Boxhill bike forum btw-
  12. No booking, just turn up on a day it is open and buy a ticket from the machine.
  13. --------->Legal to spend anywhere in the UK :winky: <---------Ahem, click the link. Look's like your a winner :D
  14. If your going to the ring on the friday are you going to the meet at Brunchen Zee? If so we could convoy in together as i'm sure you'll will be coming down the A61 so could meet up at the services just after jct32 on your side and we'll just go up to 32 and turnround to meet up if your interested, say 9.30am as the ring doesn't open till 11am so will give 1 hour for the meet. Saturday is well worth doing because you get to do the gp circuit as well as the ring, if your breaks can handle it Oh one more thing, if going back sunday don't get caught out like we did at 2am on the sunday morning sipping a cheeky one as the barman put the clock's forward 1 hour
  15. Friday is ok as not all the UK clubs going have arrived yet and their are hardly any bikers :D Saturday is rammed so get their very early and do as many laps as you can until the track closes for the first crash of the day then just park up and wait until everyone else has got it out of their system or has gone home then get back out on track ;) Sunday, don't even bother going!
  16. I'll check with the meet organiser about the saturday but THIS is the one we are going to on the friday Mat.
  17. dunno, whats a ringkorso give us a clue :) It's why TOC are going over Barry but unfortunately it's on the good friday so you guy's will miss it. Basically it's a huge Euro Toyota meet at Brunchen car park starting at 9am :D TOC@Brunchen 05 Pic showing a 3rd of the carpark See you all on the saturday though :D
  18. Second driver only not third or 4th and only 1 passenger in the car on track
  19. First come first served basis and a credit card swipe will be required to stop that oop's i've forgotten to hand back my helmet moment
  20. 2nd driver's & passenger's are indeed free but will need to provide their own helmet ;)
  21. Oh bugger, that starlet is well noisy mate best bring the IS TBH i don't know about what IS was to noisy but the moment it went out on track the organiser got a phone call from the owner who live's onsite saying WTF is that, he replied a supercharged IS200 and was told to get it off track asap, he then said what all of them so the owner asked how many their was and Pat said about 15 and he put the phone down on him
  22. Last year only 3 cars broke the db limit Barry, 1 supra which was that very loud black one (Paul Whiffin's) but that was only due to him drifting at the bottom end where the db level meter is situated, 1 MR2 running nearly 2 bar with a screamer and 1 IS200 that i only found out about the day afterward Apparently mine is very quite and you heard that on the RR day mate ;)
  23. Tbh Barry, i was more chuffed at you at hitting 130 at the wheel's than anybody else, power to weight and all that :D Well chuffed with mine though coming 3rd behind 2 supra's B) Shame the day dragged on so much i couldn't go to mat's
  24. There was one - the orange coloured car with the Evo type rear spoiler ← I think you mean Ken's sorted Avensis! - He won't be happy with you! Was that really an Avensis - it looked waaaay too long? Didn't get a close look at it though :duh: ← There were only 2 orange coloured cars there... 1 was the Avensis with the GT4 lump 1 was the Aussie Holden ← And the Holden didn't have a spoiler ;) Your not the first one to confuse it with a GS, laughed for 5 minutes at Japs last year whilst the president of a certain Toyota club told the crowd what i had done to my GS
