  1. I've got a parrot in mine works flawlessly (although the droppings are messy!)
  2. Sorry let me re-phrase, "the Japanase have far stricter emission standards than in the UK." I've looked around and these bypasses are quite common on other (albeit older) vehicles. I'm going to get the plates made up (garage says it will be around £30), and see what effect this has. I can always remove them if needed.
  3. Thanks for the info guys. I'll look into the legal aspect, although the mechanic advised it's not needed in European markets. Apparently the Japanese have strict emission standards.
  4. Hi all, I'm installing a Car2PC module on my IS220 and it has an adaptor the connects to the CD Changer socket (with passthru), pics attached. Can anyone tell me where this socket is located (eg in the boot near the amp or behind the center console etc). I'd rather not faff around removing the center console if I don't have to? Cheers Jon
  5. Hi all, New to the forums, and what a useful site! I have a quick question about the EGR valve on the IS220 I recently had in issue of turbo lag, and found the answer here, it was the result of carbon build up on the EGR valve. I've just had this cleaned, and the mechanic said he could bypass the valve by blanking it off... Is this legal in the UK? Also would the ECU need changing to account for this change? Cheers. Jon
