Hi...Just a wee update. Went to Lexus Glasgow yesterday and after a quick check over they confirm the battery had dead cells. New battery was just 60 notes! Bonus! B)

Groovy...just what I need at the end of the month before pay day! Kinda knew it was coming tho. Dunno if it makes any difference or not but the wee eye thing on the battery itself is still showing a full blue circle? Does that not mean it's suppose to be healthy? Thanks for the reply btw

Morning all! :) I'm hoping this is going to be an easy one for a Sunday morning! I'll give you some background info Got home from work yesterday decided clean the inside of the car. Had a CD on, moved the leccy seats about. Must of been 30/40 minutes tops. Tried to start her again afterwards and all I got was a chime and lots of ticking! Got my dad over with the jump leads and she started instantly. My dad didn't even have to start his engine. Went for a decent drive and thought that was that. NO! Went to go to work this morning to be met with the same chime and ticking! Is my battery a goner or is it something else? I've not had any problems like this until now. The only other thing that might be of interest is that there was a hissing/electrical type noise coming from ( i think) the negative terminal on the battery. Any feedback would be appreciated cheers clark

Hey guys Been a while since my last post. Hope everyone's well. I've got a problem with my exterior door handles on my IS300. The clear lacquer on the tops of the handles is starting to come off....they're going all white on top and i'm sure it wont be long until it's blistering off! It's so annoying because my car is in cracking nick apart from this. Anyways i've managed to track down some handles online at a breakers. My question is...they look red in the pics but was Scarlatti red the only red that Lexus made for the IS200/300? Any feedback would be great, Cheers

Hey all, Im after a bit of advice....my IS300 is suffering from quite bad shudder/judder whlist braking. I can feel this sensation through the brake pedal and the steering wheel. Brakes are very squeaky too (more so than usual!). Knowing nothing about cars can any members in the Glasgow area recommend a garage they have used that could sort this out for me? Any help would be much appreciated, Clark :)

Thanx guys Had my first "incident" earlier today! Came back from the shops, pressed the boot release button on the key fob, got the shopping in, closed the boot.....you can guess what's coming! Yes, idiot that I am, placed the keys in the boot whilst putting the shopping in! DOH! Had to wait on my sis coming over with the spare set! Lesson learned!

Hey everyone :D Just got myself my first Lexus....an 03 plate IS300 in red. The forums here are invaluable so just had to sign up. Anyho, love'n every minute so far especially its pace, however I'm not a techy or hands on kinda guy so expect lots questions. You've been warned people! : )
