  1. Unfortunately due to Australian import lawas i can no longer take this car with me when i emigrate later this year so very sadly it is now up for sale. I absolutely love this car and anyone who buys it will not regret it. It is on pistonheads and ebay at the moment if anyone is after one.
  2. Can anyone tell me where i can get one from? I phoned Lexus and they told me that they had stopped making them. Thanks Paul
  3. Never mind, i have the answer from elsewhere. Incase anyone else needs the info, it is specific to the ISF and not the same.
  4. Do the Toms air filters on ebay advertised for the 250/350 fit the ISF too? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TOMs-Racing-Super-Ra...=item35a5c39fbc
  5. I'd better get one then as you're getting a better mpg figure than my IS250. No, seriously, I have driven the ISF a few times now and as I've said many times before, it's like being in my 250 SE-L for 90% of the time with the other 10% when you can use the extra power (and then you're illegal within seconds). Yes I can well afford one, but doubt if I will. All personal opinion, of course. I detect a slight sarcasm with my mpg figures? That is also the official figures from Lexus, and on my first long motorway run without cruise on i actually got 37mpg... which i couldnt quite believe. That will be due to the variable inlet and exhaust timing though. I got less in my old Ford Cougar 2.5 V6. I agree though about your comment of it not being different enough inside. I think the outside is where it mainly stands out with the wheels, bonnet bulge, vents and exhaust. But yes, inside it pretty much is an IS250. But then the 250 is alot nicer than the equivelant BMWs in my opinion. I would like the F to look a more individual inside. But then my wife says she loves the car because its so understated and just 'nice'. And people kind of dont expect it when it pulls away from them etc The 34 and 37 mpg figures are they tank average or brim to brim? My mpg figures are journey figures going between the north east and cheshire. Sat at about 75-80 most of the way with a few 50 roadwork zones and then some in town free flowing traffic too. Im as surprised as anyone else with the figures and i have had around 32 recently on motorways. I dont know if i have just got more confident with the car or wether now using my cruise control most of the times has dropped my figures a little?

  7. Don't think they'll be selling many. It was pretty difficult selling the 150 that came in initially. Hardly an exciting car compared to what else you can get for the money, it'll be spanked by an M3 or RS4 and a BMW 330D M Sport is only a second or so slower to 62 mph and that returns 44 mpg. I dont agree 100%. I have an ISF and before i got it i had a sit in a few BMWs including M5 and M3 etc, and they are not even close to being as nice inside. They look alot cheaper and basic inside and you dont feel special sat in it. They are alot more common and i raced an RS4 down the motorway a few days ago and i embarassed the RS4. It was considerably slower due to less torque, more weight and the 4WD system. Plus driving the ISF is very exciting. Iv owned it for a few months now and just cant wait to get back in it and drive again every time i get out. The ISF also does 34mpg so its very fuel efficient for what you are getting.
  8. Well apart from my own i spotted my first isf on the road yesterday in Edinburghs st andrews square. It was a very shiny black one and looked very nice. I looked like a bit of a berk though when i shouted to my wife "look another isf!" And was pointing with a big grin on my face haha. If it was you then hi :)
  9. Anyone know if its possible to get these parts in the UK? Im looking to get the panel filter and intake pipe section for my ISF.
  10. To be honest that drop doesnt look that much different but i guess different wheel sizes affect that and if that picture was taken just after work was done then the dampers and springs wont have been ran in yet (they sink a little more after a bit of driving around). Still looks very good though. Lovely wheels, suit the car perfectly.
  11. You getting one or doing a transplant? The rarity factor is one of the reasons i wanted one. The only other one iv seen is one in a showroom, but iv still to see one on the road.
  12. Yeh i loved my old V6 but this is just amazing. Makes you have a bit of a lead foot though I love that blue colour too and i would have been very tempted to go for it but all the cars iv had so far have been blue so i had to make a change. White was my top choice but they seem to hold more value and i wasnt prepared to pay as much. But now i have my grey one i think it was the right colour to go for. It has turned a few heads for sure. I was sat at the local crossroad light a few days ago and there was a girl in the passenger seat slyly pointing at it and i could read her lips saying to her boyfriend 'what is that car?' and then she gave a raised eyebrow and looked at it a bit further and then down at the wheels and then turned her lip up at them I guess someone has got to not like them though... strange girl! I also thrashed a seat ibiza cupra on some dual carriageway and the driver caught me at the roundabout (when i slowed right down for him ) and just gave me the thumbs up and a huge smile Iv not had chance to go past many mercs etc yet but i cant wait to. I just cant wait to surprise an M3 owner ;) Good work man. Well that Blue colour, for some crazy reason is not available in Europe, absoloutley madness, I done a poll on here a while back asking if the Blue should be made available for UK/Europe customers and it was a landslide in favour of Yes, I don't know why Lexus work like this it's stupid, they could have launched that Blue as the house colour for F and have it has as limited number, so you have an limited edition within a limited edition if that makes sense and charged more for it???? I think that girl was jelous mate and probably wanted to be sat in your seat or the one next to you, lol You have to post your expreience and feedback when you come up to a Merc or BMW owners especailly the 'Surprise M3' lol What do you reckon yours will be worth in about 18 months time? I didnt know that about the blue. Its really strange though as even the ISF brochure i got from the dealership shows a blue one on the front and back covers. Gorgeous colour. To be honest im not too fussed whats its worth as i will be keeping this car for some considerable time. I paid 37k for it with 22k miles on the clock Worth it though :winky:
  13. When i got my ISF the other day the guy in the dealership said the car only requires 95 octane and they had all been advised to stick to 95 as the car runs better on it and that anything greater would just be a waste of money. I dont know who told him this (Lexus maybe?) but i cant see why this would be the case.
  14. Mines called Trevor after the bear Lexus dealers sell :D But my fiancee doesnt want it to be called Trevor as thats the name of the ghost in our flat!
  15. Yeh i used to be a moderator for a while on ukcougar.com but with my new job i couldnt afford the time to do it properly so gave it up. This place does seem a bit friendlier though. Im on a few forums and also called p.whitelock on all of them as its just easier to remember logins etc :)

  17. Well i finally got it and i LOVE it! The perfect car for me and it just gets better and better. Im currently working away but i managed to get a few pictures loaded onto photobucket before coming away. Laptop started playing up though so couldnt upload the rest. Ill post more if my fiancee gets round to loading them for me: In a service station after picking it up from Nottingham dealership A happy father in law after i took him out for a spin in it Can you spot the excited imposter in the pic? :D Also started work on stripping my last car (slightly modified v6 ford cougar) ready for some track day action but didnt have time to get any pics. Just removed most of the interior and have to mount my new bucket seats and then start work on stripping back alot of the loom. Then itll be time to remove things like air con and rear wiper and motor etc to get the weight down as low as possible.
  18. Hi people, im picking up my first Lexus on Monday in Nottingham. Its an ISF and in Cadoxton slate grey and i can't bloody wait to get it. My previous cars have been 1.2 I3 Fiat Punto, 2.0 I4 Ford Cougar and 2.5 V6 Cougar. So its a bit of a jump up in terms of power but im sure ill cope :winky: Iv loved my last 2 Cougars and i would recommend them to anyone. But now my modifed V6 is becoming my track day toy and the ISF will become my weekend car. My fiancee is learning to drive in a 1.3 Fiesta which i bought as a crash damaged mess and put back on the road. It still needs its MOT but im sure it wont take much to get it through as a lot has been replaced on it. Started ripping the interior out of the Cougar today to bin or sell certain bits. Soon going to get a pair of Cobra race bucket seats to put in too. Her is a few pics of my Cougar before it started to get stripped: Ill post up pics of the ISF when i get it.
