  1. Both the 1GFE & 3SGE are called "BEAMS" engines in the Altezza. The "L" Editions have half leather etc.I was about to say have a look for a Altezza RS200. 50hp more out of the box is well worth it.
  2. Have you checked your lower ball joints?
  3. 3) Get in contact with www.exedy.co.uk They do a solid flywheel & clutch kit to suit in either standard or HD. Should be less than half the price of an OE kit & dual mass flywheel. http://clutchfinder.exedy
  4. What ATF are you using? Toyota T-IV I hope.
  5. Could always try your local lexus dealer. They're pretty reasonably priced (over here at least).
  6. They make more than one grade of Mobil1 You should call your local Lexus dealer & see what they use. You could risk voiding the warranty using the incorrect oil.
  7. Everyone also calls the Legana / Neo front TRD as well but its not. Causes confusion when everyone uses the incorrect term. There's only one official TRD lip as per their web site http://trdparts.jp/e...ro-altezza.html You know it, carry on...
  8. That's not a TRD lip mate. It's a genuine accessory lip which is part of the "Elegant Sports Kit"
  9. That spoiler on the white car is the TRD spoiler http://trdparts.jp/e...ro-altezza.html part number 76870-SE100-NP is still available. Few cheap copies around http://cgi.ebay.com/...sQ5fAccessories Mightn't be much on ebay at the moment with xmas around the corner
  10. 3 piece? Hmm These are the main OE types TTE TRD
  11. Not the greatest of pictures but they look like they might be for the single piston rather than the twin. These are what they should look like http://www.bendix.co...Inner_Outer.pdf
  12. Factory clutch kit will set you back more than an aftermarket one due to the dual mass flywheels being expensive. As kitcarcollection said track down a JUN, TRD or Exedy set up
  13. Very cool! JUN make a nice lite weight sold flywheel for the SXE10 3SGE
  14. Sounds like the battery to me. They wont even attempt to start with anything less than @ 10v. I thought it was something more as most cars will at least try to turn over. Should be able to get it going with a jump start to get you to the store for a new battery
  15. Have a read of this http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=70461
  16. Got googled parked outside my house. Must have been a Sunday morning in winter I'm guessing
  17. Hook one of these Alpine units up to the factory stereo >> http://www.alpine-us...tion-technology << Then you can start adding aftermarket amps & speakers to your hearts content without losing the factory look & controls. There's a multitude of brands out there to choose from, just depends on how deep your pockets are.
  18. Finally found a pic of the intake & strut brace. You'll have more clearance if you turned the bar around
  19. Ask TigerFish He's don't plenty of tutorials like this Caliper Change one so may be able help. Found a couple of pdf's that may also be of some help http://bahamutcars.free.fr/workshop/IS_98-05/rm/rm684e/m_br_0025.pdf & http://bahamutcars.free.fr/workshop/IS_98-05/rm/rm684e/m_br_0027.pdf
  20. Sorry, yeah you have to be a member to view DIY's. If you have a look HERE you'll find out how to join If you car doesn't have one the get a 88508-48020 from you local Lexus/Toyota dealer. It's the filter & tray. Replacement filter is 87139-48030
  21. What about this JL Audio boxed sub? http://mobile.jlaudi...u=9&prod_id=423 Only £274.99 All the hard work has been done for you.
  22. Nice design there. How much is it going to cost all up? You could just buy an off the shelf set up like the Soundstream Stealth-13BX or maybe look at a higher spec sub than the Kenwood like the RE SL Series
  23. Yep it's behind the glove box. Here's a DIY I found http://z4.invisionfree.com/lexusaltezzaclub/index.php?showtopic=7733 Pretty simple
  24. You may need to remove the under tray to get at the oil filter (model dependent). Here's the basic service guide http://bahamutcars.f...e/m_lu_0003.pdf Best oil filter removal tool is the cup type as shown in that pdf. Best of the strap style is the chain type, all others I've used are next to useless. Mind you it should only be hand tight but guys like to over tighten them.
  25. I can't say I've ever heard that one. They're most definitely different coil packs between the 1GFE & 3SGE. You can run a coil pack from a ST215 3SGTE alright in an Altezza if you're caught short but it's advisable to run the correct one. Supposedly the IS-F runs the same coil packs
