  1. The Mrs has it during the week for school runs which are short journeys Is cleaning the maf sensor really going to make a difference??
  2. hopes that cleaning my MAF sensor will save me some money!!!

  3. Sorry if this has already been discussed My IS300 is driving well at the moment. Good idling, pretty fast and responsive however the fuel consumption is terrible Is cleaning the Maf sensor really likely to make such a difference? Its a 2002 with 52k on the clock. I get around 200 miles on a full tank.... Also how can I check if the O2 sensors+ coil packs are working correctly? Anything else I can do to get better fuel consumption? Thanks
  4. Ive heard people mention (dont quote me on this) that the bulbs are white but they have a orange cap on them so you should be able to purchase white ones and use the existing caps. Hope this helps
  5. Does anyone know where I can ger blue bulbs for these? I would like them blue when the heated seats are off and the traction control is on. I would like them yellow when they are pressed. I am about to change my dash and speedo to led blue so would like them to match Any advice? I am based in London.
  6. Thanks Lexdavis Looks good. I think im def going for the blue. Why people say it looks chavvy I dont know. It would be good to see some pictures of other colours (Other than white or blue) Im going to try the cigarette lighter, heated seats, traction ctrl and gear shifter as well. Does anyone have any advice for this (traction and heated seats)and also what bulb I need for the Hazard lights of the main centre console (I want to keep this the original colour - should I buy white? - Current ones dead and I would rather not open up the whole dash just to check the bulb :(
  7. Hi Can you confirm that the dials and dash are still clear with the blue or white bulbs. The photos look as if they are not as bright as the original orange bulbs or is this just how the photo has come out? Hopefully i'll be changing mine this weekend :) Also is this guide ok for an IS300? Does anyone have a guide for the Shifter bulbs on an automatic? Thanks
  8. I sent an email to Grom and received the following reply: Hi, The module you have does not support iPod. It only supports Auxliliary connection. In order to play iPod through AUX input you have to switch device into AUX mode as explained here: http://gromaudio.com/software.html Hope it helps, I am sure that this isnt the case as there are many references all over the web who have all three modes working: http://gromaudio.com/downloads/GROM-USB.pdf http://www.newsguide.us/automotive/afterma...e-for-Ford-too/ http://www.carbuyersnotebook.com/grom-usb2-car-kit/ http://www.autoscorner.com/grom-usb2-mp3-c...dapter-kit.html Could someone confirm that they are using the new GROM USB2 kit with USB, AUX and IPOD connected and working. Thanks they have since come back to me and advised that the IPOD connection will be supported in a few weeks once they have tested the new software
  9. try to choose between aux or ipod. when disconnect aux cable ipod port may automatically turn on. Hi, I've tried this and its still not working. There is no IPOD mode available. I sent an email to Grom and received the following reply: Hi, The module you have does not support iPod. It only supports Auxliliary connection. 10. Hi I've just installed my Grom USB2 with the extra ipod cable attachment so I can use ipod, usb and aux mode. Usb mode is great.Aux is ok. The main issue is that there is no ipod mode. It changes to and from aux/usb without. The ipod can play through the stereo if i disconnect the usb etc and change the cd to cd 1 track 1 but no controls. I think the problem lies in that there is no ipod mode selection i.e the woman who says aux mode, then usb mode will not say ipod mode. Its a nano 4th in a 51(2001) Is 300 Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  11. Hi Im a proud owner of an IS300 01 after many years of vws, audis and bmws. I am happy to say that I absolutely love the car and hope to have lots of happy time together Im in the process of changing my stereo to an aftermarket as I have the annoying error message when playing CDs otherwise I would be more than happy with the current sound quality. I am thinking about purchasing the Harness: http://www.carstereos4u.co.uk/lexus-stereo...4-2056556--.php Do I need to buy anything else on top of this? (apart from the stereo of course) but some people say that the rear speakers are 2 ohms and most aftermarket stereos are 4ohms which is apparenetly a problem? I was also looking at the ipod interface: http://www.carputer-shop.co.uk/ipod-digita...2186988f4652cbc Can anyone provide some feedback Thanks in advance..
