  1. Not sure off-hand but what I do know is that I replaced one of mine (or rather the garage did) using a Denso (I think, could be Bosch) generic part. In fact, I have 2 brand new ones spare if you haven't yet purchased. Chris
  2. Check out the price: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/One-Owner-New-Shape-2002-02-Lexus-LS-430-4-3-Auto-32-MPG-/220975127827?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item337324dd13
  3. agree....even a basic sub £100 TomTom knocks the spots off it. Whenever I know I am going to need Nav, I take the TomTom. I have used the in-car system to Nav unexpectedly and it generally gets me where I want to go but it's no fun to use!
  4. I think all LS430s have these features. Not a myth - the windows definitely have two layers of glass.
  5. The wood around the gear lever came in before the face lift. My car is a 2002/52 plate and is pre-face lift (i.e. with 17" wheels and downward pointing exhaust tips as opposed to sticking out straight backwards) but *does* have the wood around the gear stick. So I think it's just a question of the manufacture date. Chris
  6. what he said. This nearly caught me out recently (newish owner)....it had been years since I'd had this problem on any other car and had more or less forgotten about this "feature" that is found on many (most?) cars!
  7. welcome but I think you're in the wrong forum! (this is the LS forum)
  8. Check Ebay item 250612327107, someone is breaking an LS430 although it looks to have had a front-end smash so you might be out of luck in your case! Chris
  9. Do you think £9k will buy a really good MK2? A really good MK1 maybe...but I would have thought a really good MK2 would be £10k+ Chris
  10. Ray I had the same on mine not long ago. This article helped: http://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls430/4451...rt-numbers.html although remember that this is for a left-hand drive car so when they refer to drivers side, it's the other way around. FWIW, I sourced a Bosch Universal part (from the US, as it happens) and got the whole job done for £159 which is a lot cheaper than a main dealer will charge you. Chris
  11. Hate to be a party-pooper but mine works quite well....the back especially gets very hot within 4-5 minutes. The heated base I find less effective because most of the heat seems to escape between my thighs rather than heat my bum (apologies if that's too much information! :0)
  12. The Display 2 button on my 2002 430 brings up the outside temperature on the dash (where the Park Assist warnings normally appear)....a bit superfluous as it's also displayed on the centre console! Chris
