  1. thanks for all replys :) phoned around a few places, but lexus stoke have just quoted me £499inc VAT for cambelt, tensioner, idler & waterpump + labour, which going off what I v'e read on here, is a pretty tight price for lexus dealer!
  2. Hello Picked up my Is200 tonight and very pleased with it, 2001 IS200 sport. FSH, serviced every year, first 5 stamps are lexus but the last four are from the same independent, with no mention of the belt being changed. It's fair to say I'm below novice when it comes to cars, but after reading these forums I know the cambelt is a must, and the waterpump too? Anyway, I'm looking to buy the parts and have a local garage fit them, so, as far as the cambelt goes, i'm looking at this kit here, parts J13568K - http://www.japarts.co.uk/shop/index.php?sh...2316_2331_15008 It appears to have the belt, tensioner and idler, is this all's I need to buy for a mechanic to do this job? Secondly, the waterpump, I'm looking at this here, parts 16100-79285 J1610079285 - http://www.japarts.co.uk/shop/index.php?sh...;cat=2306_15004 Again, is this all's I need to buy for a mechanic to do this job? And last but not least, are those prices reasonable? Thanks in advance :)

Cheers for comments guys I know it's way overpriced just by looking on autotrader, wouldn't want it for more than 3k Another question, automatics seem to be pretty cheap, seen a few with low mileage 50-60k for 2-3k although auto wouldn't be my choice, is there any known problems with the automatic gearboxes, or anything else on an auto? Ta

Hello I'm thinking of part exing my car in for an IS200, I have my eye on a 2000 LEXUS IS 2.0 SE with styling kit @ 139k for £3990 It's from a trade seller, although he only has the service history (Lexus) upto 65k As I've read on here, high mileage isn't a problem as long as there's FSH, so aside from the obvious cambelt change, could somebody advise me on what else I should look for? I've read that IS200's develop clutch judder, alloys corroding, and something about having a few spare keys too, things like this I would appreciate some advice I'm pretty wary regards service history, and the fact that I will be taking a gamble part exing a very good astra 2.2 sri (in vauxhall terms of course) Cheers in advance
