  1. Further to my fuel injection relay chattering post, can anyone recommend a superb auto electrician west of birmingham - West mids, Worcs. direction - a mobile one preferable, because the fault usually disappears when I move my IS200, then recurs randomly when it's on the drive. Wouldn't recur at an auto electricians garage though so they couldn't trace it, hence thinking a mobile one would be better. Many thanks. Problem desperate now.
  2. Please can someone help. I have an IS200 52 plate. The efi relay is clicking frantically - it's baffled several service mechanics, specialist auto electrician and Lexus dealership. First happened exactly 12 months ago to the day, would you believe! It drained the battery, couldn't stop it, then it just stopped by itself. The fault wouldn't reappear when it was in any of the garages so they weren't able to trace it. Then it happened again a month later, took it into the Lexus dealership, fault disappeared again when I got there, so they couldn't trace it, but they thought it was something in the ignition. They removed 'excess grease' from the ignition. It was fine for 5 months then it started. I took it back to the Lexus garage. They were convinced it was the ignition, so I forked out to have a new ignition switch and barrell. I thought that had cured it. Now another 6 onths on, I took the key out of the ignition and heard it start again for the first time since the ignitionreplacement in October. So stressful as I can't rely on it. I'm desperate to find a solution as I rely on my car for work, but worried no-one seems able to solve it. Help!! It stops when I put the key in the ignition, even without turning it. For info: The various mechanics and I have eliminated: The relay switch itself - swapped with the horn relay - still clicking; all earths been tested and fine; it's not water ingress on electrics as happened when no rain for days; battery absolutely fine, as is the alternator; key had new battery. Desperate to find a solution quickly. Please can anyone help. Many thanks. Carrie
  3. Thanks for your reply. My alarm came with the car apparently and in fact both the Lexus dealership and another autoelectricians checked the earths and said they were fine, but a hands free set was fitted before I bought the car - could it be that perhaps?
