  1. sorted, battery is stable now, must of been due to it being new :) constant 14-15v on the dial
  2. Hi Guys didnt use my lexus over xmas due to the snow, it was sat for 2 weeks without starting. started it last week and have a drive about, all was fine. went out to it on Thursday morning, only to find it dead, couldnt even unlock it with the remote. tested the battery and it was showing less than 10v :( so i just bit the bullet and got a new battery. the old one sort of swished about a bit when i lifted it out! so must of been buggered. new one in, started fine, drive fine for 10 mins. but i noticed the voltage on the dial fluctuating, now i dont know whether i have never looked at this before and it always does it? or do i have a bigger problem than just a dead battery. or is the fluctuation a normal thing that i just havent ever noticed? going to try it again today :) regards Sean
  3. well i got them and put them on today, look pretty alright! will get pics when the weather gets a bit better (currently cant see due to fog!)
  4. HI Guys, i am in need of some new rims for my blue is 200 (as avatar) what are our opinions on these very cheap 18" rims and tyres here i think they should look alright? can get my current ones refurbed for £250, or £312 for all 5 wheels. but i am getting second hand wheels for that price, or do i go aftermarket and get these rial ones? im rubbish at photoshop/paint, tried it in paint then with a dodgy shot and they look alright! regards Sean
  5. apparantly no use for sealing the bead :( which is where mine is leaking from
  6. i have some in the car, but i thought that this was a temporary thing to use and knackers your tyre after a while, then you have to buy a new tyre
  7. HI Guys, some of you may remember the post made by me looking for new rims/refurbs but at the moment just cant afford it :( here i have an IS200 on stock wheels (looks like they have been refurbed at some point in the past) with federal SS595s on, they have done 6k miles. ever since i have had the tyres on, they have lost air, only very slightly, but since i stopped using it (way back in april) and the girlfriend started using it for odd trips on mondays and thursdays (stood the rest of the time) its been leaking more and more :( i have had them reseated/sealed twice now at a cost of £80 (£10 per wheel) but today it got me thinking is it the tyre that is giving way and unseating itself due to being sat? so i have pumped them up to a couple of psi above normal and put loads of fairy liquid around the rim, going to see if it bubbles around the bottom areas (where it would square out) one random one is, i have put the spare on the back for now, as one wheel was flat as a pancake, and that is original, wheel and tyre and that hasnt lost ANY air at all :| so i am a bit baffled as to whether its the cheap tyres or the rims? when they were resealed, the rim was alright and not corroded so i cannot think why its doing this! anyone else ever had this before? regards Sean
  8. thanks wahid, will give this a go saturday when i have time
  9. thats teh major problem i have they are nearly brand new tyres and only now have the wheels started to leak air etc, had them re seated twice now and they are still seeping air as they are so corroded around teh lip on the front and back :(
  10. Hi Guys, the wheels on my IS200 are buggered, they need replacing. options are: Refurb from PX Wheels approx £312 (as i want all 5 doing if refurb) inc balancing etc as i will drive there, gunmetal grey finish rather than silver or brand new without tyres in 17" so i can use my old tyres (that are nearly new) aprox £480 - £600 depending on type wheels i like the look of Rotas GTR £607 Rotas Torque Drift £558 Rotas Grid Drift £588 Inovit STVI £480 Inovti WK £480 or stock in gunmetal as you can tell i really like the look of the jap style as above, car is blue as in my avatar what would you do? regards Sean
  11. cheers scudney, i have 2 transponders, 1 wouldnt do a thing, the 2nd does the locks but not the starting :( is there a way to check whether its right or wrong? regards Sean
