  1. sorry for the delay lads, havent been on much lately, the engine isnt even on in the pic so i dnt know why that person said it wasnt running rite!!!!!!!!!!! the badge says sport on the bottom of the front bumper lad
  2. Hi lads and ladies, Ive had the cars for a few months now, it was on english plates so ive only really been drivin it with about 3 weeks (feckin vrt)!!!! Anyway ive started doin a few bits to it so said id post up some pics and get some tips and advise on wat else to do and see wat ye think. Ive the TTE front bumper on, it came out a slightly diff colour after painting it so ive to get it done again but it still looks well! refurbed all the calipers too, i think its a nice touch to a car to see them lookin well. The things left to do over the next few months will be, 30mm lowering springs, either refurb the 17's or get 18's, depends on the cash flow :-) get new headunit and install my touchscreen sat nav into the existing housing as the irish sat nav disc costs €170!!!! If anyone has more idea's or just little touches i can do to her then please feel free to leave a comment..... im toyin with the idea for doin a mod to the badges on her but i wont say anythin yet till i decide!!!! Cheers for reading guys
  3. There's something wrong with this post, red is 'cheap and chavy' and gold calipers and gold badges aren't? Thought it was the chavs that were into 'Bling' (I'll keep quiet about my polished aluminium ones :D). Traditional is black or red, but you could always go Ferrari 'look at me' yellow. I like the sound of polished aluminium ones :D can you put u a pic for me to see wat they look like and how to go about doin them. Cheers mate
  4. Thanks for the replies lads. I was thinkin gold too but ive had a GT4 Celica in red and an ST24 mondeo in black and i done both them set of calipers in gold so was gonna try sonething totally different but its hard to beat gold!! As for the gold badges im not sure bout them. i may have another plan for them!!! Would it be worth goin a darker colour with the wheels? Keep the options comin anyway cuz i take it all on board. Thanks again
  5. Hi guys, Doin alot of work with the car now over the next few weeks (bit of a cash injection) :D ill post up pics and bit of a write up once im done. Now its not much so dont be expectin a supercharger and the full works! Just bit of tidyin and some small little personal touches. Anyway my car is a 99 IS200 Sport in Platinum Ice and im re-furbin the wheels and calipers. Now most people go for black, red or silver on the calipers when its Platinum Ice on the car but i wanna go bit different. Was thinkin yellow with black writing which ive ordered from the club shop or a brilliant white with same black writing. Just wanna get few opinions on it before i go mad with the spray gun!! Wheels are waitin the same as original colour. Other bits to do are TTE Front Bumper, 30mm lowerin springs, new Sat Nav and Headunit Install and 1 or 2 other bits which you'll have to wait to see Thanks Shane
  6. Hi all, looking for an oil pump for my 99 IS200 Sport. Im from Ireland and the main dealers here want a fortune for one so just wondering if anyone can get me one from england and send it over or if anyone has a second hand one thats in good condition ill take it. Thanks Shane
  7. Hi Guys, Ive had me Oil Pressure light coming on at idle when the car is warm. Few people on here have had the same problem. Anyway i changed the Pressure switch, Oil and Filter and still the same. Im in Ireland and i got the car in England but my uncle in law works in a garage about 40 miles away. I was getting the work done by a mate at a local garage. Happened to mention it to my uncle in law and he suggested that the oil strainer in the sump may be slighty blocked causing the poor oil pressure as the car may not have been serviced as regular as it should be!! Over time if the oil is left too long between changes it can block the strainer. He had seen a few English cars coming to the his garage with low oil pressure and must of them had blocked strainers. Im not saying its the same for everyone but it mite be something worth a look if people are running out of options! Im doing mine next week with my mate, its alot of work as the subframe has to come off too so when its done ill let people know if its the problem. Hope this can help someone Cheers, Shane
  8. Im totally with you on the 2 screens, would look excellent and its possibly the best option. put it in, replace screen, connect them and would have 2 screens and 1 which would open and close as needed. really cool. ill be all night now looking at units!! thanks
  9. Hi guys, Im a new member and proud owner of a 1999 IS200 Sport (with sat nav), Platinum Ice (think thats the colour). Im not going to post any pics yet as i plan on doing a few small mods as the car is completely standard and i wanna put my own touch to it and then people can tell me what they think. Im in Ireland so any other owners over here give me a shout! Now down to the bit thats gonna hopefully have all of you giving me great ideas. I imported the car from the uk last week and the sat nav disc is uk only so no irish maps, secondly the dreaded error 3 is on the cd head unit! My plan, if possible, is to install a nice single din head unit which can play dvd, cd, ipod, have sat nav and bluetooth for the phone. Now i wanna know is it possible to have such a unit and connect it to the existing sat nav screen i.e bypassing the sat nav unit in the boot and being able to play dvd's on the screen in the dash?? Another possilbe way maybe to remove the screen thats in it now and install a normal 7 inch monitor like you'd see built into the headrests. but it still have it open and close?? I may be way off the mark with all of that and may not be possible but if the answer is out there i know someone on here will help. This site is excellent for everyone helping each other. Cheers guys Ill look into it myself too and let you know how i get on Shane
