  1. Hi Paul, a new cover is only £18.17 inc vat from any dealer and it comes painted :) Andy Oh, nice one, cheers Andy. Fully expected it to be twice that and then some.
  2. Hi folks, I am after the near side headlight washer jet cover please if any of you have changed a bumper recently and have this part available it would be greatly appreciated. Black would be excellent, but any colour will do. Thanks for looking. :) Paul
  3. Hi Folks, Some tw@t recently trolleyed my bumper in the supermarket car park, and it has snapped off the headlight washer cover thingy. When I look down through the hole in the bumper I can see the top of the washer armature mechanism where the bracket is that the cover was held on with two screws and one side is broken (the rond hole that would house one of the screws). The question is, does this mean I need to replace the whole mechanism, or, is it possible to get the top bit with the bracket that holds the screws that fix the cover..? In either case, does anyone have any spares left over from a bumper upgrade that they would be willing to sell..? It's for an IS200 Sport in Black (preferably) and it's the near side. Thanks for looking. Paul.
  4. Just been to look, they are FEDERAL , never heard of 'em.
  5. O.K. The guy at the lot where I bought the car said he had put 4 x £70 tyres on which by any standards would be considered budget I guess. I can't say that I have noticed the sound at lower speeds, i'll drive home from work tonight without the (repaired using guides from this forum :D ) radio blasting and report back. It never occurred to me that the tyres could make that much difference. thanks for the replies so far.
  6. Hi all, My IS200 sport is making a humming noise that i'm hoping is wheel bearing related as opposed to diff related. The best way I can describe it is, it's a Whooooing noise that is loudest around 60mph (ish) it kind of builds up like an air raid siren and maintains the same sound from 60 upwards, similarly it decreases in pitch as I slow down and disappears at slower speed. I'm struggling to determine where exactly on the car the noise is eminating from precisely, cos I'm usually sat inside it at those speeds :winky: Hopefully this is making sense, apologies if not. Can I have opinions on what this might be please (as long as they point to wheel bearings ) Seriously though, any advice/ideas or past experience would be appreciated. Thanks.
  7. Thanks Tommy, that's very useful.
  8. Hello all, Until yesterday I was a Lexus virgin. I just bought myself a 2001 IS200 Sport with 93k on the clock, and I am wondering if there is anything that I need to be watching out for in terms of bits that I should get checked out for wear etc. or any common faults that I should be aware of. Any guidance and advice greatly appreciated. Thanks Paul
