hey man i use asda's own brand mate , they are cheap as chips and do the job very well ,i used to use nero to burn but now i just use windows media player on a medium speed , verbatims also work well as i have also used those ,i have always used my lappy to burn the discs, hope this helps.

bought a kit off flea bay for about 18 quid mate http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/WHITE-E-TECH-CAR-BRAKE-CALIPER-ENGINE-BAY-PAINT-KIT-NEW-/370372024374?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item563be49836 this link is for the white but they sell black too , it includes the paint and the degreaser spray and brush , you need to buy a wire brush though to scrub them up first and then degrease as your doin it to get rid of the crap and rust ,i then applied 2 coats to each caliper ,first coat only needs about an hour to dry enough for the second coat which then needs 24 hours to properly cure ,you dont need a seperate laquer for this paint , i painted my horns to match the calipers too , i also have a green lex and decided on gold although i was also going to go for black , put me some pics up after your done mate so i can see what it would have looked like ;)

hey lloyd how you doin man? i got a tape adapter and the sound quality is pretty good , only 2 things that pee me off about it is the wire hanging out and the sound of the stereos tape mechanism rotating all the time , also if you use your phone you will have that phone interference blip de blip noise coming through the speakers now and again which does get on your nerves at times so i would recommend using an mp3 player mate.

bought my lex a year ago which had avon zv5's fitted all round , the tread is still deep on them , their quiet and iv never had any grip issues ,after searching on the net looking for more info on them they are a premium tyre with good reviews and i have not seen a bad word said about them , they are asymetrical so more versatile than a directional tyre and are normally £90 each but black circles.com are selling em for £73 each , cant complain at all tried and tested good all round premium tyre which i will always stick with.

my w reg se has got 149 thousand on the clock and its just got through its m.o.t. with only needing a lower ball joint which cost me £125 in total(mot , ball joint and labour) , there were no advisories and the cynical mechanic was amazed , he said my lexus has changed his mind about them completely and it was lovely to drive , the emissions were spot on which what concerned me the most especially as i fitted a k&n panel filter . :winky:

hey man the usual rule of thumb is dark wheels on lighter coloured cars and vice versa , i also have a k green se , i refurbed my wheels and went for gunmetal grey for a different look and i think it looks the dogs , painted my calipers gold which stands out against the darker colours but not too in your face , check out the pics , what you think ? need to sort out my centre caps.

lol good thread i got my lex master key ,my fiances front door key, a swisstec utility key ,and a bullet shape mini petrol lighter . i never thought until now how much you can tell about a person from their bunch's of keys , my fiance my lex and the other two cos im a hunter , three of the things i love the most in life , ill add some pics soon.

i painted my calipers gold , i have a kensington green is200 , wasnt too sure at first but i decided to bite the bullet and go for it and was very pleased with the results , just need to sort out my centre caps now though. red calipers are too common.

hi guys im wondering if my trc is working , when i have turned mine off i hardly notice any difference to be honest , what exactly does it do what should i be noticing or feeling when it is off ?

why dont you put the lights on and look yourself?? one of the bulbs has a dipped pointed end , cant remember which is which now , think the dipped one is

probably best to look on the trader mate to see what their going for , mine is exactly the same as yours but a manual and w reg , fsh, loads of receipts, 2 pre owners and i picked it up for £2150 and that was off a dealer and no p/x ing , really hate to say this to ya buddy but i think you might have trouble shifting it at that price although i hope you do and we always add more to the price to haggle with anyway dont we if you sell it let me buy one of them brake clips off you :winky:

hey guys whilst painting my rear calipers i noticed that the clip on the rear drivers side (the clip that sits under the pin and holds the top half of the pads in place) was missing , when i go over a bump i can hear a slight knocking noise which i think is the pads moving in the caliper , the pin holds the pads in the caliper but the top half rocks on the pin without the clip or whatever it is called , do these clips come with the pads when you buy new ones? has anyone got a spare that they would like to sell me ? thanks guys.

ahh i didnt know that stav , i know that i bolted them back on tight , is there a correct way to do it ?

hi guys when i painted my calipers i painted my horns with the same paint , since i did that though the horns dont work they did slightly squeek the other day well i think it was just the one , they worked fine before , has anyone got any oem original horns they would like to sell me please ? thanks guys.

i bought some maxell -r's from asda today , 25 for a fiver , burnt slow with windows media player and worked a charm :winky:

no mate - its just purely for music and very easy and quick, and isohunt is a website, seeksy is a piece of software :D is it just a player/converter and burner program then lloyd , gonna google it in a bit. no mate sorry, Its just a software where you can search for your MP3's to download only for backup reasons of corse :winky: :winky: lol im with ya mate :winky:

i agree on the fm transmitter , i did try one and was pretty disapointed , although like nik said it was a cheap one which could be part of the problem.
