  1. hello all finally decided to take my exhaust off, i've only had it on car a couple of months, but the girlfriend aint stopped moanning. its a bit loud for me too so its got to go. when i ve got time will put on e bay for people to look at. sorry dave and all gold members did'nt read forum rules
  2. Hello all, Finally got down to powerflow to get my exhaust fitted, did'nt need a cat or downpipe as they were both good working order, so that saved me a bit of money . all in i got charged £75 to fit the exhaust which aint bad . he had to mod the exhaust a bit by cutting off the flange at the silencer end and fitted a reducer so that it bolts on. once it was done it looked and sounded the part , but the tail pipe was sticking out a bit too far, so he ended up cutting the end off a couple of inches. ill try and get some pictures and sound downloaded when i've got time. with this exhaust it give a nice deep roar but its a bit TOO LOUD might take some getting used to.
  3. hello loc you alright griderjn, seen your pictures i like your system but bet that was'nt cheap. dont want to spend too much cash atm. i need a pre-cat pipe and cat been looking on the net and found this, but not sure where the sensor plugs in this costs £320 + vat . not sure about gaskets has your exhaust got a bit of play in it. how is it bolted together ? are u using springs
  4. nice one e910, think im gonna keep looking around for a down pipe and cat, i know there on the net some where just got to find them.
  5. Cheers E910, did you get that one made up or can you buy off the shelf, does that one remove the cat, cant find many parts in uk. if i cant find one might have to get one made . do you know any sites which will ship to uk. so wot part of the exhaust system is the same is it just the backbox and middle pipe catback. i'd even put a standard one on if i could find
  6. hello loc not fitted my exhaust yet been really busy. i did measure it up and found out that it does not replace the cat. I got a quote from powerflow to make up a sports cat and fit the whole system £300. seen this on the net and was thinking of buying only problem is its for a lexus is 300. a downpipe without a cat. when i got my exhaust i was told it will fit alezza and is300. will this fit? can you help me out!
  7. Hello all, I have already posted this on the altezza import section, but would like to share it to all. Been looking at buying a scan gauge 2 for my car, which is a altezza rs 200 1999, was wondering if any one know's wot these are like ? is any one using one? it connect's to the obd2 port , which i think my car has , but some people are saying that altezza's don't have an obd port. so i'm a bit lost. can some one help! does your is 200 have one , should be located to the right of steering wheel. think that's the obd? correct me if i'm wrong. cheers
  8. hello all, My exhaust arrived today and it looks like it was worth the money. just hope that it fits . When the snow clears i will get it fitted. Will post some pictures and maybe some sound :winky:
  9. cheers you lot, have def got an obd2 port to the right of steering wheel.Only want to get this so that i don't have to get all clocks converted to mph, and hopefully I can save some money using the mpg function. i'm gonna wait a bit before i order as its something i don't really need
  10. hello all, Been looking at buying a scan gauge2 for my car but not sure if it will work, has any one got one on their altezza, and are they any good. my car is a 1999 t reg altezza rs 200. its plug into the obd port cheers
  11. the only reason is that the only bolt on i can see is before the cat (engine side), and this exhaust looks over 2 meters long. think de cat pipe will only fail mot not sure if it is legal, if it is too loud then you might get pulled over. think its more to do with emissions, i had de cat pipe on my old corsa sport i.6 with a 5 inch rage exhaust and that was LOUD but never got pulled over , i would always put cat back on before mot though
  12. cheers for advise griderjn will get new gaskets and bolts ready, i was also wondering this exhaust i've ordered does it replace the cat or does it join before. be handy if it does because think the cats on its way out. and their expensive to replace.
  13. ordered this exhaust in the end, been looking on youtube and it seems like alot of jap motors have them fitted , should have it on car in a few weeks so will let you all know how it is. cant wait my first mod B)
  14. Cheers everyone for your answers, think im gonna have to get under the car and have a proper look, just to make sure it is the cat before i even think of ordering one as they cost so much. :tsktsk: think its might need replacing as i dont think its ever been changed on my 99 t reg altezza.
  15. Hello all, got an altezza rs 200 and i think ive got a hole in the catalytic converter been looking for a new one and they all seem to be over the £380 mark, i have also looked at the is 200 one's and they are alot cheaper around £200. does anyone know if it will fit. and are they the same? should i just get a de-cat? cheers
