  1. Hi fonserg, I'm interested to remove the dpf and close the 5th injector. Could you give me some information about the pipe to be installed instead of the dpf ( a photo, where I can buy it, if it shall have the holes for the pressure/temperature sensors ), how to close the 5th injector and the brand of the emulator? No problem with the turbo without the "load" represented by the dpf? Thank you for your help. Regards. Walter
  2. Hello Sergio, I have the same year car. Three weeks ago I had similar problem, no power, warning lights on, it seemed with a piston off, etc. I run the engine between 2000-3000 rpm ( just the engine, not the car ) "pumping" on the throttle for about 10 minutes. After that I have driven normally and after one day the VSC light switched off. I have connected then an OBD2 tester and it visualized the diagnostic code P0093: Fuel System Large Leak Detected. I think to the following possible malfunctions: - low or high pressure fuel pumps - pressure regulation valve mounted on the high pressure pump - discharge valve mounted on the common rail - one injector temporary opened Probably the malfunction of these devices should set other code errors but I didn't have it. Fortunately the problem solved itself without any intervention. I hope the same for you! Bye Walter
  3. Ciao Ulisse, Thank you for your answer. I'm very interested to eliminate the DPRN filter but I have some doubts: 1) Regeneration of the filter is based on the differential pressure between its incoming and outgoing ducts. Without the filter, the differential pressure signal is always 0 mbar; is the ECU not warned about this situation? 2) In case of ECU, after 1500(?) km, starts the filter regeneration phase, it has to detect the increasing of the intake temperature due to the fifth injector opening. Are the above two points managed by the "black box" to be added? Is this box equipped with outputs for the connection to the two temperature sensors ( before and after filter ) cables and to the differential pressure sensor cable in order to "instruct" correctly the ECU? Are there other signals to be connected to the box? 3) Somebody says that the filter represents a sort of "load" for the turbo. The substitution of the filter with a simple pipe can be dangerous for the turbo? 4) Could you send a picture and/or instruction for the construction of the filter by-pass pipe? Your help will be very appreciated. Thank you. Ciao Walter
  4. I have taken some pictures. I have rotated the ring of the housing but it turns just few degrees and I'm not able to remove the housing. Is such small rotation correct in order to remove the housing? After the housing removal I have understood I will have to remove the 3 screws (M10 I think) for the filter replacement. On the other side of the differential I have seen a plastic screw. Is it the sludge screw for water removal? Please help me with your experience. Thank you. Walter
  5. Hi All, I would replace the fuel filter and I have understood where it is located. In e-bay I have seen that the spare part is only the internal part of the filter. I have ordered the filter to my usual spare parts dealer but he said me that the filter has a traditional metallic shape. Anyone have information about it or a picture? Is the filter replacement feasible also without the ramp? Thank you. Walter
  6. Hello to everybody. This is the first time that I have written in this forum. Very interesting topics! I have cleaned the EGR valve of my 220d last week at 80,000 km after the VSC warning and loss of power. Please consider that the garage has already substituted the original EGR at about 40,000 km! Unfortunately I usually drive in urban areas and sometimes on motorways, but interventions seem too frequent to me. I know that the diesel is not the suggested engine for this use but IS250 was too expensive. As ULISSE said, it is necessary to eliminate the DNPR after by-passing the EGR valve. Does anybody know if in this situation the car can pass the fume controls?
