It's reassuring to here this. Actually my wife's RAV4 2015 has a much clearer reversing picture than my IS300h. In fact the sat nav map is far more impressive too. I feel inferior thinking about this now!

Thanks for uploading the images. Comparing the image to mine I guess they are fairly similar. Compared to my IS250 (series 2) which was a very sharp image, I feel the current lens is slightly blurred and would benefit from either a better lens or some form of adjustment to bring it into focus.

I really need to view the image on another IS300h to compare the two. I'll see if the dealership would do this next time I visit.

I can make the adjustment too, but from memory I believe it only altered the brightness and not the sharpness.

Hi, My 2015 Premier's Rear revering camera is not as clear at the camera on my previous car (IS250 F-Sport 2010). The Quality isn't as sharp/clear. It does the job but I feel it was a move backwards in this day and age of digital imaging. Anyone else noticed this, Lexus said the picture is normal. I wondered if there was a fault with the camera lens or could the lens be altered to improve it???

Yes there is a timer. I currently have it set at infinity.

I might not have explained the problem clearly. The problem only arises when the car is parked and locked and the power magic pro is turned on to still feed power to the camera. The system shuts down after about 6 hours or so. It operates perfectly otherwise. The same equipment was used in my previous car and the parked/record facility recorded for a much longer period of time (days). I also installed the same set-up in my wife's car and that works fine too. Her car camera records for days whilst it's parked unused.

Yes that is correct. Power magic pro is setting on lowest voltage drop setting. I have used same equipment on my last Lexus IS250 and it worked fine. Hybrid seems to override the power magic pro system.

I installed a blackvue with power magic to save draining the car battery and I've noticed that the hybrid system on the car seems to shut down the power to the power magic to soon. I've done two installs using the same set up on non hybrid Lexus and it's not been an issue.

I used the Hazard warning lights fuse as the continuous feed and the Ign1 fuse as the power feed on start up.

My last car was the Is250 f-sport and it hardly threw any muck up from the road, however the new IS does throw up so much more. Go for it!

Found the correct power feeds and fitted it today. All works well, neat job, very pleased!
