  1. She’s sadly far from perfect. I damaged the rear quarter in the summer, needs a repaint as originally was red and it’s not the best paint job, few electrical problems etc. but that said, she’s 27 year old, runs pretty sweet, turns a few heads and I still love driving her
  2. I have my old v8 soarer. Sold it quite a few years ago and bought the sc430. **** happened so that had to go and bought another tt soarer. Sadly that had to go too. And by chance spotted my old v8 for sale again so bought her back and brought her home
  3. Morning folks. names chris and currently driving a 1994 uzz31 not too many mods, deep dish alloys, decat exhaust, air suspension removed for coilovers and the previous owner removed the emv and replaced with a nice pioneer double din and the aircon controls were refitted from the TT I’ve had a problem with her since I re bought her back. But I’ve never been able to sort it so hoping someone could offer advice? I think since the emv was removed it’s created certain problems , cigarette lighter doesn’t work, the heated screen, side windows and mirrors don’t work but when the button is pressed everything lights as it should. Also the ultrasonic vibrations for the mirrors don’t work either. I’ve checked the fuses but everything seems to check out fine. also the ect power button lights up but doesn’t seem to do anything. any advice is greatly appreciated
  4. pmsl i nearly spat my coffee over my screen reading that. it would of been JD but as thats locked in the OP's boot i dont think there is much chance of that lol.
  5. Ormi it does say in another thread about googling garage services it even says to avoid kwik fit for some reason??? So it proves that any info or advice is just ignored anyway. Anyway never had an issue with them testing my cars although I now use a smallish local garage. Never been an issue there either. In fact I got treated the same there and at kwik fit oh and main dealers. So if the issue is the fuel or the fact that your foreign then take somebody with you. But if your car is roadworthy then it won't matter if your English, Irish, scotish or from any eastern European or Asian region then they will pass it. If there is something wrong then they won't pass it. Simples ;) if you really want a 100% legit test where they won't use your fuel or take the ***** that your foreign etc then contact your local council tester (where they do taxi's) then they do it usually cheaper than garages but definately leave out the bottle of JD cos they'll know what your upto and either refuse to do it or go over it even more ;)
  6. Try main dealers or kwik fit etc also if your concerned they'll run your motor out of fuel then only leave a bit in??? No brainer IMO I wouldn't advise you leaving a bottle of JD in the boot as I don't think that'll get you anywhere. Test stations are constantly monitored for ppl trying to bribe testersso they'll 'overlook' certain things. So they'll probly look into your mot even more and fail it anyway and keep your bottle of JD lol anyway +1 post for me :) soon I'll be able to get a toaster lol now take the chip off your shoulderand treat ppl giving a reasonable answer to stupid question with the respect they deserve.
  7. The ideas great and I wish there was something near me that did that. But as u say I only think it'd subsidies a business. But I do think they'd be a definate weekend Market and a small weekday trade unless you offered late service. Good luck if u go for it.
