has this model been a target for the cat theft scum or has it been left alone

which model in the is300 range is the highest spec

So my view on the ownership of it - it is great as long as the purchase price reflects its value. In short it probably should cost 40%+ less than 450h to be good value... at least in my opinion.

Now that is clearly not the case, as they sell for just ~£1000-2000 less. Costs £340 to tax vs. £160 are less fuel efficient and have less standard equipment, which alone would have been worth £5000-6000 less when buying new.

the main reason im not going for an hybrid is the spate of cat thefts that are getting worse 

ive narrowed down my search to the gs250 they do seem a little scarce ,as anyone any views on ownership ? regards steve

after owning a number of ls400s over the last 10 yrs and with parts becoming hard to source ive decided to go for a 250 auto .what is the highest or best spec ?ive read about rear calliper problems .are there any other issues to look for ? regards steve

if anyone is after a mk 1 400 the tv auction programme that features mathewsons auctions they have a 1990 going through on the 18th not much info on it yet but theres pics and an online video on the add at the moment

i think there are enough negatives to leave this one .my search will go on ideally in that colour combo

im thinking of going to view it he s not far from me .only one thing previous mot advisory noted rear oil leak which i need to check if its been rectified ,and does that price reflect market value

The final silencer sections are regular steel but seem to last pretty well.
My 2004 has 130k miles and has had to have the Y-pipe replaced due to cracks where the tube was welded to the flange (cost £150).
Otherwise the resonators and silencers look good with no visible rust or cracking on them or on the tubes linking them.

im looking to buy a 430 and wondered if the exhaust is long life similar to the 400 or any weak points regards steve

1 of them 2 clips are broke on the back other 2 are ok

think ive got a couple of those

its only the earlier engines that are non interface the mk4 are not in that category

is it seized ? have you tried turning it by hand via the crank

with the 400 now getting exceedingly rare and overpriced by some dealers ,if im to go for a 430 is the facelift version the better option

my previous mk4 has suddenly locked the display screen to secuirity mode asking for a code .no radio sat nav or heater controls available any ideas

does anyone know if the ls430 door speakers will fit the sc430 asking for a friend one of his has gone

spotted this coming up for auction next week at enfield bca done 28000 warranted miles obviously bonnet needs painting .last service was 12 month ago
