  1. I have a 2001 RX300 & i would like to know how to find the front window washer pump/motor, the rear one is working fine & it sound like it is under the wheel arch, but before i go taking parts off i would like to know were the front one is exactly.

  2. I also have an RX300 2001 with the same mileage & i had it LPG converted 2 years ago, the engine managment/VSC warning light came on after 2 months & has been on ever since. I am told it will not do any harm. I am very happy with the car & also use it to tow my 25ft touring caravan during the summer months. Enjoy your car & don't worry 77p per ltr is great.
  3. Hi, not sure why you would want to carry or purchase a jump start as it sounds like you need a new battery or find out why the car is losing charge. I have never used a jump start & would not want to on a regular basis. hope this helps. Paul
  4. I have a 2001 Rx300 that i had converted to LPG ( multi point system ) my car shows the engine management light & VSC & yes you are corect in your diagnosis of the problem, but unfortunatly i have not found a solution during the past 2years i have been running on LPG, I have decided that i dont really care as i am told that it will not harm the engine & at 57p ltr i love my lexus.
  5. Hi, i have an RX300 which was converted last year, the unit is a OMVL DREAM 21N multi point with a flash lube system attached to it, so the engine still gets enough oil residue on the valves & seats so they do not suffer valve burn, as LPG runs at a hotter & dryer temperature than Deisel/Petrol, but of course they both have oil in them in the first place. I have had no problems & at 51p per ltr at a local propane gas supplier who also has an LPG station i just can't go wrong, even the big petrol stations sell for 62p which is still a hell of a saving. hope this helps Paul
  6. Hi, i have a 2001 RX300 & have this problem ( fault code P1135 ) looks like it is to do with either a fuel/air ratio sensor or an 02 sensor problem, i have read all the 2007 replies to booker who had the same fault, however i could not see what he eventually did to cure the problem:- location of the part/cost/can it be done by an amature mechanic like me. Can any one help as this engine management/VSC fault on my dashboard is annoying.
  7. Hi i have an RX2001 77000 miles which was converted for me last year on purchase of the vehicle, it has a flash lube system which the mechanic recommends after converting many different models not just Lexus, i have just had it serviced after 8000 miles & all he did was change the fuel filter & plug it into the diagnostic to make sure all was o.k. cost me £60. The conversion system is a multi point OMVL Dream XXI N Sequential gas injection System. installed by :- LPG Autos Stretton Garage Brentwood Staffs ST19 9LN. I could not run the RX without LPG as the petrol fuel consumption of 20mpg is obscene, but only paying 47p per ltr more or less doubles that to 40mpg verse the petrol cost, i also feel very green as i now pay less tax ( you must inform DVLA ) less emissions. As the car starts on petrol you will use some over a 12 month period, i have put in £145, i dread to think how much i would have spent without the LPG. I have been very happy with the car and tow a very large touring caravan with no effort.
