  1. You know they only work when the headlamps are switched on, right? And it's one after the other so you get a quick squirt on the nearside then the driver side a moment after (I think)... so you won't see much even when they do go off...
  2. Piece of cake. One screw down around the knee, then pop the trim forward a bit. Undo the two screws inside the dash shroud and lift it off (there's a plug on the back connected to the dimmer switch for the lights you will need to undo). Undo the 3 screws holding the perspex bit of dash in and it will just need pulled forward, and the two plugs on the back unclipped. You'll lose the trip mileage on unclipping the clocks but nothing else. Follow the process as described here with pics :)
  3. My speedo lights were bought from here They're very good, you can't really see the needles in the pic but that's my crappy phone camera, not the kit...
  4. The centre console (including heaters) should only be attempted if you're comfortable with a soldering iron. I'm not, but I know a man who is, and shortly my heater, clock and snow/trc/heated seat buttons will all be blue... I have a PDF that explains how to do it, but I can't attach it to the forum - if you PM me your email address I'll forward it to you. It does look very fiddly though... Think your plans are sounding good by the way...
  5. Autoleads fascia does NOT require you to remove any buttons... When you say blue led interior, are you thinking of something like this? Or are you thinking the whole shebang including heater unit controls, glovebox light, map light etc? As those all take a bunch of different bulbs. Couple of suggestions? TTE/TRD kit always looks sweet...
  6. Edge Automotive do some fantastic work, they're in the west midlands, is that close enough to you?
  7. :) Good enough! That's what they're for... Parking sensors aren't standard on any trim level on the IS200, so maybe there's just an issue with the wiring or a fuse has gone or something on your aftermarket kit...
  8. The IS200 doesn't have reverse parking sensors unless you've added them - the beep you hear when selecting reverse is there just to warn the driver that you are IN reverse rather than first, as if you glance down it can be hard to tell! Hope that helps...
  9. The head unit isn't connected at all to the alarm, no.
  10. Fairly sure someone has asked those guys and the bumper is a fiberglass replica rather than the real thing... Personally I'd always prefer to find the genuine parts rather than go with the FG stuff. But that's my own personal opinion & preference. TRD Rear isn't hard to find, as Ormi says, you can get it from Toyota for not very much, the side skirts though are near £3-400 if I recall correctly if you wanted them new... eBay has loads of cheapy fiberglass replicas of course, but the real thing is a bit harder to find. Luckily a member on another forum spotted a breaking IS with these on it, and they only cost me £80 plus post and painting. I wouldn't say the TTE one is ugly, I just prefer the lines of the TRD one :D
  11. The two pics I posted with the Legana bumper (the ones with fog lights anyway) have TRD side skirts on the cars as well... TTE Rear Skirt (nicked from Bash's selling thread, he is selling this for £70 if you're interested - check the for sale forum, brand new from Lexus they're a fair bit more, around £200) I prefer the TRD rear skirt myself though - here's mine: TRD one gives you about an extra inch of depth as well, and that lines up nicely with the TRD side skirts to give the impression of a slightly lower car...
  12. Been advised that no, it won't fit an IS200....
  13. Davenport? Either way, you're welcome Steve, happy to help...
  14. People do reply - I certainly do, IF I actually know the answer. Which I don't. However I've asked a couple friends on your behalf as they know more about this stuff than me. I'll let you know what they say when I hear back from them...
  15. You closed the [ img ] tag wrongly Steve, needs to close with a / as well, like [ /img] Easiest way to do pics from photobucket is to look at the Share Image section on the right of your picture - if you click the IMG link you can just paste that into the Post box and it'll work just fine. Here's your pic anyway:
  16. The custom one was machined from a solid billet of stainless steel, and the top piece was etched with the symbol I wanted. There were a few other options in the group buy for the top piece, and it is available in both automatic and manual versions (since the thread size is different between the two in the IS). Feels fairly weighty and solid, as you might imagine!
  17. Send a PM to ACLex (Lexus parts manager) on here, he can sort you out with an OEM new one for not too many pennies (think repeat THINK they're about £40 odds) My own is a custom one though :D Mine was scratched to death, so I needed something nicer. Looks like this:
  18. It was two front bumpers I believe... Drop a PM to Asi, he might have the guys details though as I say, I think the bumpers got sold...
  19. Nope, it's not. It's an R286 bulb, also known as a T5 (if you wanted an LED). Word of warning though, the darn bulb is fitted permanently into the holder for that particular item and changing it is a pain...
  20. Good luck on the bargain hunting - I've heard that the most likely place to find one is in NZ/Oz, where there are a fair few altezzas with them... Asi found a couple a few weeks back (again, the seller was in NZ) but the price for one was too much all in with the shipping. Asi wanted to find someone else to get both bumpers as the cost split worked out about £750 a bumper all in. But he couldn't find a second buyer, and I think the guy has sold them now.. Good luck with it!
  21. My bad - that pic doesn't show fogs, but they usually sit in the round bits :) Here's a pic P.Lindblom found (Patrik has a replica bumper I think) and his is one of the best looking IS200s around in my opinion... Patrik's car:
  22. No worries, I had spotted them the other day when nosing about, so I knew where to look ;)
  23. Search ebay USA (.com instead of .co.uk) for IS300 ones... much cheaper...
  24. That's a Legana bumper - they look great but they're horrifically rare to find (a genuine one, the fiberglass replicas are easy to find on ebay) and IIRC Toyota used to charge £1700 for them
  25. Mine was all scuffed up as well.. so I got me a custom one
