  1. Hi Everyone Hope all are having a good easter break, and due to the nice weather thinking of some bike riding, only problem is I don't have a tow bar to stack the bikes on my IS200. Anyone out there got one for sale? Thanks Nigel
  2. Hi Thanks for you very interesting information. I notice on the WIM web site there is a frachise in Plymouth so I will be talking to them about the set up. All I need to do now is decide on the choice of tyre. Nigel
  3. Can't help you with tyre choice but the above statement is incorrect. Many IS200/300 owners have had the same problem as you, the calibration figures used by Lexus for setting up the steering geometry are basically wrong. The correct settings are available from WIM. It's a long way from Plymouth but WIM do have authorised centres so there might be one near you. Had mine done at WIM a couple of years ago and since then the front tyres are wearing at the same rate across the tread.
  4. Hi I have always used Dunlop SP Sport 9000 on my vechicle which were manufactured in Japan, but they are no longer available. I would like to know what everyone else are now using. I have spoken to Dunlop technical and they have suggested the Dunlop Sport 3000A as this is matched with the Toyota Avensis chassis which is similar to the IS200 chassis. Has anyone tried this tyre? I also mentioned that my tyres always wear on the inside and they said this is normal as many cars now have been set up to provide better cornering which results in inner tyre wear. They did get very technical about it but in brief thats it folks. I did ask about the Dunlop SP Sport Max TT, but he said the Sport 3000A would be better. I was thinking about possibly using a different make like Toyo, or Bridgestone, but not sure about type noise? Any help would be appreciated.
  5. Help! Bought an after market rear boot spoiler for my IS200 some time ago now and the read LED rear lamp housing has faded white and the light intensity is very poor. Looking for a replacement if anyone knows of a supplier where I can purchase one. I no longer have the details of where I bought it originally, and anyway I have searched all overthe internet and I suspect they are no longer trading anyway. Nigel
  6. I have a pair of used front callipers if anyone would like to offer me a donation for them. They have been refurbished by myself using a Lexus seal kit. I put them on but unfortunately unknown to me I must have pinched the offside boot on one of the pots and it got picked up on my MOT that the calliper was causing some restriction. So to get it trough I just decided to buy a re-con set. The nearside one is all complete and the offside one has been stripped but repairable. I can send pictures if requested as I am unable to upload them. Email me
  7. Hi Guy's I have viewed the site on occasions and found it most interesting and you all seem quite professional in your replies to other problems etc. Looking forward to being an occasional member and sharing our experiences. One problem I would like to share with you all is with my rear speakers losing the base in both channels, after viewing the site fir suggestions it looked like a new amplifier was required.I proceeded to have a cursory look at the unit myself as I am an electronic engineer from background. After struggling to get the amplifier and leaving it still connected but just hanging down in the foot well, with the fault still present I might add proceeded to my local radio dealer to see how much they would charge to investigate. It would have been £50 for 1hr including parts which I thought was good value. Anyway when I went out to me car to demonstrate the problem, guess what it all worked OK. Feeling rather stupid I went home removed the unit completely from its pinned sockets sprayed contact cleaner on all the connection and it is still working after 4 months. Hope this helps someone? Nigel
