  1. Plasti Dip looks good but nothin for me as I would prefer to do things myself. Vinyl wrapping is so much fun too! Regarding the colour - dont go with black or white - be different - BE ORANGE! My theme is silver/blue! Black is such a pain to keep it clear of dust and white is just a colour you gotta wash it more often than any other colour!
  2. This Castrol ATF Multivehicle JASO 1A is apperantly approved being the Toyota T-VI fluid. Read somewhere that Castrol has put their badge on it. This is the IS200 Manual book attached saying that JWS3309 can be used too!
  3. These are mine - http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NjEyWDEwMjQ=/z/FjsAAOxyRhBS98Lo/$_80.JPG I always thought tho that these are the aeros lol.
  4. Hi All! Has anyone had any experience with this fluid?? Castrol ATF http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-77376-castrol-atf-multivehicle-automatic-transmission-fluid.aspx I have also attached a PDF file by castrol - on page 2 is a list of recommended manufactures and specs compatible with Castrol ATF JASO 1A. pds_ImportMV.pdf
  5. Hi mate, I have a full set of 17in multispoke for sale all with tyres which is coming off my IS200 2005. Its been in the shed for the past 10 months as I upgraded to 18's. Drop me a pm if interested.
  6. First of all, do you have a sat nav built in?? If so, then there is more work to do - get ready for this! (Hence your clock is on constantly plus your sat nav if you hear carefully to it!) The harness bypass cable - if its the halfords supplier then the IGN wire was not wired in correctly at the manufactory - again some work required but not a major one.
  7. The IS200 got an offset of +43 - which is not good for wide wheels on lowered cars. Got myself some 18's x 8j all around and Apex lowering springs dropped by 30mm - if I got a full car I can literally fit a paper between the tyres and the arch but thats about it. Anything wider and lower will hit your arch - so rolling is the only answer!
  8. Could you take a pic of what you have got.... I can then help you!
  9. JAE - Sunday 15th Sept!

    Jae? Anyone?

Hi Everyone! Is LOC going to represent Lexus at this years JAE from 12th - 15th Sept??? I've had a look at the Club list and could not see anyone from LOC! Really!!??? http://www.japcarclub.com/
  11. With headlights - it gotta be Smd lights with a lens on top to create a beam which produces sufficient light. They are rare.
  12. I haven't been on a meet yet! Gotta get one done! I will be limited to traveling and time - so hopefully somewhere close around Cambridge/ London/ Bedford...
  13. Hi Guys, Can I just get this confirmed, if the Driver Door courtesy light stopped working - it can't be the fuse right? As all other interior lights including the passenger door courtesy light are still in working order. That suggests that either the ground wire has burnt or damaged the ECU Body??? Im in the middle of changing them to SMD's and managed to get the pos and neg wire in contact. Cheers for any help!
  14. Im in Orchard Park. What about you? BTW you can download Ulysse Speedometer which gives you accurate measure when driving at night. You will need GPS on your phone tho to use the app. Ive been using it a few times and works very good - best app on the market! In terms of fuses, its worth checking all fuses to be on the safe side. The dimmer switch should also dimm the heater controls, are they off as well?? Otherwise there might be an issue with the ECU body....but need to do more research. Also, there should be a wiring diagram on LOC or other IS websites for Gauge cluster....I will have a look once I got some more time.
  15. Halfords do sell the fascia, just provide your car details and they will find it and order it if not in stock. Do you know whether you've got a pre amp in your car? I think thats the case with certain models like Sport and SE I believe. Mine is a SE so did have one which means you will need to get a by-pass cable to hook it up to your head unit. And if you got a Sat Nav built in, then you got some more work to do lol.
  16. Hi Dave, welcome to the club! Cambridgeshire - yeah! :D Bear in mind that bulbs do go, one of mine has blown months ago and I still need to replace it lol. How about you change them over to see if they light up to make sure that the bulbs have blown.
  17. Welcome to the Club! Lexus are the most reliable cars - highest MOT pass rate in the world. Any car after 100k will get their issues here and there. Obviously depends on pre owners, how they treat the car. Power steering fluid was my first shout, to make sure its full. Otherwise thats it from my side apart from that the Car won't let you down in the long run. But would always recommend to buy Cars below 80k miles max but obviously depends again on everyone's budget. And you should avoid buying cars from London (no offense but these Cars been raped lol, you will see their driving behaivors which I do all the time). Best advice, just look after it as much as you can and it will look after you ;).
  18. Hey Pete, no I didn't pull the mpg needle. Like I mentioned, it will only go to 80 once it is on idle. Got a funny feeling that the sensor is messed up. Just don't know what to look for lol. Picture won't say anything as it all remained the same unless you drive and the mpg gauge does what I have mentioned - not respond as it supposed to do. And I believe only a Lexus garage can diagnose and fix this issue, correct me if I am wrong. If I get a better understanding of how a mpg gauge operates, I would rather fix it myself. Thanks for any help guys!
  19. Hi Guys, Ive took it off and put it back in and did make sure that the connectors are fully pushed in with the clicks. MPG Gauge still does not work. What else can it be??? Can it be the sensor? If so, where is it located?
  20. Hi Guys, I cannot find an answer to this - been looking everywhere for a few days but nothing! Since I have added the carbon cluster decal, my speedometer needle wasn't responding after removing it and putting it back on. So I've figured that out that the needle was touching the carbon decal and this is back to normal now. However for some odd reason which I cannot figure out, the MPG Gauge is now showing 0 MPG regardless of whether I put my foot down or drive efficently. It sometimes passes the 80 when its on idle. How can I fix this??? I appreciate any ideas, help, know-hows etc.!! Thanks in advance everyone!!!
  21. Its all made by autoleads. Depending which IS200 you have got, there are a number of harness leads for almost each modell. And yea, the double din facial is made rubbish. Had to improvise and used my glue gun to keep it all in place. Dont quite like the look of the facial with the dashboard so might change to a double din Pioneer head unit sometime. How did you get on? Have you got a sat nav built in?
  22. Suxelis, you will have to take ur hu apart and keep the circuit board tucked away in the glove box connected to its original cable. Then you get a bypass amp lead and connect the harness from the amp to the iso on ur aftermarket hu - done!
  23. Hello fellows, I am after 18" alloys but don't know much about what size tyre + alloys I should go for in terms of width etc without scrapping the arch. I'm driving a 2005 SE aero/nav is200. Hasn't been lowered at all. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!
