i think white is quite tricky, works only on certain alloys too, may be not on the lexus 5 spoke 17s nice s14!

i had a quote recently from newcastle dealer for all belts + water pump change all in for 499 vat inc., and they can pick up the car and drop off wherever, so your quote is quite sensible

What other alloy wheel colours kensington green owners have on their rides? im getting mine refurb in 2 weeks time. but green is such a difficult colour to match anything else apart from factory silver? thought about bronze but the bloke said, if you kerbed it, the crack would turn black very quickly. so far i can only think of anthracite? i had white deep dish wheels on green cars before but the lexus alloys pattern doesnt suit white any suggestions would be much appreciated!

i have used those off the shelf products a few times, but they don't seem to work dramatically, however forte does the trick in my opinion. only available to trade but can be bought from ebay. with the same driving style and route, my mpg goes from 27.7mpg to 29.8mpg, 83000 miles engine another tip, never ever use supermarket fuel, you defo get less mpg with supermarket fuel comparing to normal fuel from Shell, BP etc..

i am going to replace the condenser on my IS200. does anyone happen to know what size of the 2 'o' rings i will need for the discharge hole and tube. excuse my stupidness but can i use other oil instead of compressor oil to lubricant the o rings? Thanks in advance

Just want to share my frustrating experience regarding key cutting: 1st time - I got a blank off ebay from a Hongkong seller, went to Timpson in the old market, the old shop owner cut it half way and said his machine couldnt do it as the grove is too narrow, no money paid but key was ruined. 2nd time - got another blank off the same seller, went to a 'newer' Timpson in town, the guy cut it but the grove is quite obviously 1mm shorter than the original, went back and asked the guy to try cut deeper and he said that's the best he could do. when asked for refund of the cutting price(£8), he said, oh no, cant get you refund, as he had already asked me if I was willing to take the risk. But i thort what he meant was if it didnt go well, i would lose the key, turns out he meant i would have to pay no matter the key works or not :tsktsk: anyway he also questioned if i bought the key from the internet coz the quality of blank is bad. im goin to try the 8 POUNDS blank on ebay now...

im not sure which dealer in birmingham as i have only come across it on this forum under one of the 'new key' threads. but as the other member said he was quoted 140 from his local dealer, so the price shouldnt vary much, i would say try ring up a few dealers that are close to you and haggle. good luck buddy!

i believe i read on this forum before, with the V5 log book and your personal ID, lexus dealer (birmingham) can duplicate the key for you from the database, providing that the locks were factory fitted from new, for a grand total of 120 pounds. worth asking and find out plus autolocksmith can also be able to help by cutting a key to the lock but you will have to pay for the immobiliser on the top

I have bought one of these replica bumpers and finally arrived yesterday after 10 days wait (as i asked them to paint it too) i will let the pics do the talking bad points: 1. despite being replica, fitting is not as bad as i thought, took me about 45 minutes to fit by myself, a LOT easier if you have extra pair of hands. you do have to bend the screw bracket on the wing a bit to fit. 2. cannot be mounted to the bottom tray, bottom of the bumper is no where near to the bottom tray, i may try to link it with a couple of thin metal plates. 3. fog lights will be quite a pain to put in, as the bumper is made by fibreglass, i.e. not flexible, the 'shark fin' clips on the fog light will be stuck halfway, so i think i will have to chop the clip off to fit. 4. there is no mounting points for headlight washer, you will have to cut holes and make your hole for mounting. other than that, paint job is good, and not bad for a fibre glass replica at that price i do have one question tho, where can you mount the horns? i made a misatake by mounting them on the metal armature - such a bad idea ;)
