  1. >>i assume that u have pulled the fuse for the radio already and then put it >>back in?? No? Can you expand on that? Im a mere novice, your help was very helpful indeed last time the IGN got stuck. :)
  2. Any more help on this I have tried everything to the point my hand was really hurting but no joy? Any tips\articles on stripping it down to fish the CDs out or a 3rd party company who can help?
  3. I tried but they were being very blunt and basically said NO CHANCE which I was a bit annoyed about as it has been faulty for a while. I suppose I should of taken it in earlier... :( I just hoped they could of been a bit flexible! I will give this a go! fingers crossed!!
  4. Yeah but its 5 years and 2 weeks old. :(
  5. My CD player in my IS200 has jammed and is showing an ERROR3. I am a few weeks outside my extended warrenty (ran out in April 05') and I was wondering if anyone can give me any advice on getting this fixed? I really don't want to pay the full cost of lexus repair as Im a bit short of cash at the moment! I have called lexus but they say they cant do anything which is a bit annoying as it was soo close to the end. Is there any cheaper solutions? I would be happy to just remove the CDs myself and not use the CD player for a while? Can any 3rd party companies fix it?
  6. Nope they said they couldn't! Thanks for help though! I couldnt really wait 10 days anyway... :)
  7. Hi, I usually look to sell my car every 18 months or so and its round about that time now. My current car is 2000 Model SE in Graphite Grey & 55k on the clock with a FLSH. With some extra cash Im going to add Im looking to spend about 11k-12k on: 1) A newer IS200 (pref a sport!) 2) An Audi A4 1.8T Quattro (pref with tiptronic) [old shape] I always look to get cars around 2 to 3 years old so the new IS200 isn't an option for a few years. :) Anyone drove the A4? I love the IS200 just sometimes a change is good. If i do buy an Audi I will buy another IS200 for sure. Thanks
  8. Ahh that seems most sensible - is it something a novice could do? (move the insides of the key or...?) Thanks
  9. Ah! What a pain! If my "other" key which is the correct one for the immob. is on the key ring will this still work or does it actually need to be in the ign?
  10. Hi, Im getting a new lock barrell to put on my IS200 after it got stuck in the ACC position. Im obviously going to have 2 sets of keys (1 for the ign and one for the doors) but my question is will the car start OK even though its a different key or does it need to be programmed to the immobiliser? How does the immob. work? Infa-red? Radio waves? Cheers :)
  11. Your "quick fix" looks worth a go! So just to clear up did you remove any of the interior to give the cylinder a quick 'tap' or did you aim just on the actual metal of the ignition (near where the key goes in)? Thanks
  12. Strange just spoke to my local dealer and they said they can't! Any info on proving that you can as this would be the best option! The £150 was for a new ignition barrell - fitted!
  13. No its a known "fault". Just spoke to Lexus and they are quoting £150 to replace the barrell. Does anyone know where I can get a barrel cut to my existing key? They didn't know where this could be done... Thanks
  14. Hi, I just parked up (luckily outside my house) and left the key in the ACC position in the ignition while listening to something on the radio. For some reason I must have had pressure on the key (not much though!) pulling it out and it popped out... No matter how much I try when I place the key back in I can't turn it clockwise or anti-clockwise, so basically its stuck in the ACC position... So because of this the light on the time on the dash is on, I can't lock my doors etc etc :o Can anyone assist me to fixing this? Any help?? Noooooooooooooooooo :(
  15. Hi, So where can i order these stickers everyone is talking about from? And how much? Also i have a graphite grey is200, i was thinking of painting the caliper's black and getting white or silver stickers..anyone got any pics showing this? Any other combos a good idea? Thanks :)
  16. Looks nice - its a shame it cant be dark all the way round...i suppose its sensible! Thanks for that pic... So does anyone know the max tint you can put on the front-side windows (bearing in mind the factory tint)? Cheers :)
  17. Ahh thanks. I will look into the GOLD membership then! :) I was thinking if the front-side windows can only be tinted a max of 30% (letting 70% of light though..) then what percentage is the max you can do on those windows as i suppose there is a FACTORY TINT as standard? What i am trying to say is i couldn't put a 30% tint on as it would push the overall tint over the legal limit - yeah? So what im thinking of doing is having the front-side windows 30% tint overall and the back-side windows 20% tint overall and the rear window 15% tint overall... Has anyone done something simliar - does it look any good? Any other recommdations? Thanks :)
  18. Mmm! ;) Well tint-r in Nott's seems to have a good rep? Oh yeah what tint is this? http://lexusownersclub.com/gallery/album01...w_Wheels_on_Car
  19. Hi, I phoned tint-r after a good write-up about them on here. I used the search and found a few threads but none about "which looks best..". What tint does everyone go for? Do you go darker in the back than the front? Whats the legal max i can go to in the front? (taking into consideration that factory tint - i have a IS200 SE) Im debating weather to have it darker in the back than the front...mmm! Do the police pull people for being over? Do they have a easy method of testing the % of the tint? Cheers :)
  20. Thanks for all the help guys! Im going to get windows tinted all round first then move on to the other bits.. :) Cheers
  21. Hi there, (I searched the archives first but couldnt find anything relevent...) I have been looking for a IS200 sport for about a month now and i am having trouble finding a good quality one. I have just been offered an excellent SE for a good price and i am very tempted i just love the "look" of the SPORT... Is it possible to make a SE look like a SPORT? If so is it much work\expensive? Also is it a complicated job adding slip diff to a SE? Thanks Oliver (UK)
