gar is200 sport

the abs lights on on my 99 is200se the abs stays on but the trc light is flashing had it checked and cables are connected they then pluged it in and reset it the lights went off and the trc button worked as should do I then drove round block to test and soon as touched brake pedal the lights came back on the mechanic wasn't sure if sensor or bearing so we have ordered a sensor to try it could it be anything else or have we done it in correct order theres no noises coming from bearing but if sensor dosent work will change bearing unless should try something else first what you guys think is there something to try before bearing but after sensor just if sensor dosent work that is

hi guys had quick flick through couldn't see what I was looking for in posts but sure theres one that can help ? my 99 v plate is 200 has no stereo fitted has hole big enough for double din unit though would need surround and fitting kit have seen these kits on ebay can anyone tell me if there ok or if I shoud use certain one for the factory look cheers

Hi guys been while but I am back in a lexus is200 on 99 v reg in green not sure which green maybe Kensington just picked up a rough around edges is200 few jobs to do on her but shes dropped 50mm and different alloys with cat back system and 5"tail pipe rear tow eye that's the mods now the bad bits abs lights on and trc off light flashing theres small but nasty dent in drivers wing and small bit surface rust on drivers side sill theres a big hole where stereo used to be this is day one so sure will find more problems but car was under grand so its all good sorry no internal pics yet will put couple up when get them any advice would be welcome as been away long time thanks hope you like it

hi guys good to be back on the forum i have been busy with family problems now back to a normal kinda life and looking to get back into a 200/300 model so i am about to place ad on site wanting to exchange my car for a is 200/300 so if you have one go take a look might be for you had a multitude of diffrent cars since last is 200 evo 5/ st focus 225 and even a gt4 celica now have the peugeot 206 gti 180 in blue and its ok but i really miss my lexus and the feeling everytime you drive it so hope to be part of the team again soon

thanks guys i had feeling they may be not fit now confirmed with above they are amazing and would look good but having thought about it these wheels need road going tyres so i think i could buy 18 deep dish for the cost of tyres for these rims and no arch mods needed but how many 20 inch is200 models are there if any any way thanks for advice i am thinking a wide kit but know inside its not going to happen so back to basics 17 or 18 inch deep dish with lowered springs thanks again i will post pics of wheels when i get them on car 17 18 20 which ever i end up with

hi guys not been on for a time probs at home .i was going to fit deep dish alloys but i havent yet because i have been offered cheap a set deep dish nissan 350z alloys problem is there 20 inch rear has 275/40/20 tyres front are 20 inch but no tyres these are amazing wheels but lip needs polished again is it possable to fit on is200 sport standard springs but want to lower as will sit high on this rims what is needed to make them fit is it a easy job ect i know archs need rolled but what about springs how low as this been done before will i lose a lot on steering turn i really want fit this wheels and i am told they are 5/114 but dont know width or et they look very wide sitting in garage if these wheels will not fit i can give detail if someone else wants for diffrent car they need refurbished and tyres on rear not to good no front tyres these wheels cost over £1000 pounds to buy new the guy wants 300 thats close to new 17/18 inch but these when done will be smart pick up in peterhead scotland pm me for contact details i just hope they fit is200 i think they will finnish car off perfect if get ride height correct i am prepared to remove plastic from arch if needed let me know your thoughts all advice welcomed cheers guys hope to see u soon

thanks stav i think i will do body first as not tte supercharger some secondhand parts not sure condition maybe keep eye open for charger here at later date that sounds like a rare motor hope you havent had to much trouble with it

nice mate looks clean can you tell me is that a genuine sport grill as my motors a sport but has diffrent grill looks like you get a good one

hi mate can you tell me if the remap at japperformance was at ellon in aberdeenshire if it was have it remaped some where else as i had same problem on celica japs not in there anymore and the word cowboy comes to mind anyway mate its worth asking about i know from experiance all bad eg remap wrong exaust wrong turbo wrong get the drift goodluck hope this helps

hi guys well stav not sure did not go into details yet i went in he was busy as all good workshops are and asked for k and n for for is200 sport he knows i like bhp as he tuned most my motors and instead saying yes mate i will order that he just said friday mate and by the way i can put s/c on that for 2.5k if you like he knows my dad passed away recently and must think i had come in to money that 2.5k could be talked about like that anyway dont know yet it maybe second hand as for fitting mate i dont have scooby clue what to do i guide cranes /do some plastering not really up on engines thanks for info guys i will try find out full story before post next time matt i noticed you have 2jz motor is this correct did you fit yourself or was it already fitted if you fitted was it big job or could good mech fit in day or two

hi iam gary 45 separated (thats gone cost me) work-steverdore for 17 years (plasterer to trade) english(cumbria) but live/work in northeast scotland wife got car so i got a is200 sport 2 months payed far to much for not so nice example trying to put right in time moan-wish better on fuel and quicker i am useto 300+ bhp motors motto-if in dout check it out ok guys/girls take care and good luck

hi guys i never thought about this until yesterday i was offered by local garage (good rep) supercharger supplied and fitted for £2500 is this cheap or going rate and if fitted what +s and -s are there you see i wanted to get body work chassie right first but if cheap maybe think again my first plan was to fit wide kit then have gt4 engine 4wd system fitted but having seen post here mental money so 2nd plan forget wide body (most people did not like this kit anyway) someone told me supra engine just bolts in but i dont think its that easy and i would need my local garage to fit so again maybe big cash 3rd plan and present lost not sure best way to go i come from cars like gt4 500bhp celica and 340bhp focus st2 so 150 bhp while smooth is abit slow is there any other way of boosting power without monster money i would be happy with about 200bhp i think that would still give good return on fuel gt4 gave only 8 mpg so what i would ike to know is is this s/c cheap for power or can i spend less on another setup or should i sort chassie bodywork ect first and to think i only went to ask for kandn filter

hi mate info given is correct these models compared to other makes are voted by most people to be very reliable some bad cases will come from any model or make so my advice is buy is 200 but buy wise look for well looked after model i did not the body on mine abit scruffy the engine 77k full dealer history runs sweet even though standard if i could start again i would buy nice body with history but be sure which ever one you buy theres great guys here to give help and advice as guys above said go on you will never look back i say this comeing from 500 bhp gt4 celica then st2 focus and the one i like most is is200 so take time get right one WORST PROBLEM FOR ME IS THERES ALWAYS A SMARTER IS200 COUPLE STREETS AWAY good look hope you owner soon

hi mate welcome back i am up in north east scotland and yesterday i spoke to man with 51 model is200 se in black with trd kit plus other extras he has had car for 8 years thinking of selling he will be showing it on here and pistonheads i only tell you of this as this car i can honestly say is superb codition not sure of price like i say keep looking if i get more info i will pm you details if you intrested

sorry guys i told you that mad motors.com had wide kit and they do for £800 but just found out extrem styling have same kit for £300 thats a £500 pound diffrence for same kit so if you like wide kit then be careful as with buying any thing have alook around after reading comments on kit i dont think anyone run out and got one anyway just remember be careful its easy to spend money than it is to make money

hi thanks for intrest maybe you can pm me if you selling kit with price i will then be able to see if i can afford it as coilovers and alloys first and there not cheap thanks any way guys the kit in diffrent colour with correct setup and wheels looks good i have seen one in bronze with deep dish alloys had mesh in front bumper made look more finished maybe someone here knows the car it was running gt4 st205 engine ive been told this is hard engine to fit so cant be to many if you do know pm me please ok guys good luck with those projects just remembered there is a video of this kit on car eltric blue crap alloys on you tube i think under is300 wide body or is300 bodykit it looks good there just bad black and silver alloys
