  1. Hello mate, I installed the same stereo about two weeks ago. If you look in the audio forum there are loads of walkthroughs, etc that you will find real handy. Check out my posts and they should help too... http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=68748 Dan
  2. Oh, ok I think there was a green cable spare and I had no idea what to do with it so I just left it. Stereo worked so I thought it would be ok. I guess I have to wire this cable to the 'earth''. Would that just be the chassis of the car? If not then what have other people done? Many thanks Dan
  3. Hello, Thanks to all the advice I have received and read I decided to have a go at fitting my stereo today. In total it took about 4/5 hours including stoppage for some food. It was quite difficult but I got there in the end - or so I thought. I got the bluetooth working, the Ipod works, radio fine. Then I thought I'll test the video/dvd function. First of all I got some music videos off a website - they were mp4 format. I burnt them to a disc quickly and put them in the stereo. They wouldn't play. I then tried a dozen different things, changed to formats to xvid, put them on a sd card. Put the mp4 onto my ipod and tried playing but still the same problem. I keep getting the message "ATTENTION - Viewing of front seat video source whilst driving is strictly prohibited". I thought to myself, yeah oh it would be "dangerous" to watch a film, etc whilst driving but I wasn't driving. The engine was not even running. The handbrake was on, etc. After tinkering a bit I was able to play the file and could hear the audio but it won't let me see the video. Has anyone had this problem before? Do you know how to fix it? I have attached an image that shows the fault. Many Thanks, Dan

  7. Hello, First of all this is my first post on this forum. I have spent hours so far reading through the hundreds of threads but the more I read the more confused I get. I have a lexus is 200 se - 2004. I've had it for about 3 months now and due to some lucky betting on the football (carling cup games) I have almost got enough money to purchase a decent head unit. I have been looking around for a few weeks now and think that I would like the Pioneer AVH - 3200BT. I like that it's got bluetooth, dvd, Ipod connection (need a cable) but from what I have read you can choose the colour of the led's - therefore I can make them the same amber type colour as the rest of the car. In my old car I had a green dashboard with blue stereo light's and that pi**ed me off. This is the stereo link: http://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/pioneer-avh3200bt-double-touch-screen-player-bluetooth-p-11428.html Has anyone else already got this stereo? Is it any good? Are there any alternatives that are better? You can get it for £336.95. Now, this is where I start to get confused. I know that i will need theIpod adaptor cable - £29.95 and a fascia adaptor thing. Could someone confirm that this cable on ebay will be the correct amp bypass cable I will need? It's about £29 inc delivery: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Lexus-IS200-SE-Sport-Amplifier-Pass-Amp-Lead-Adaptor-/400142682680?pt=UK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Terminals_Cabling_ET A few more requests so please bear with me. If I purchase everything above is there anything else I would need to buy? I have seen people mention that there are walkthroughs on just about everything but when I click the links to access them I have an error which says that I do not have permission to view them. How do I solve this? Alternatively could someone please email me the walkthrough - ideally I would like the how to remove the standard stereo walkthrough and also the alkthrough that shows how I install the bypass cable. I have some time off work in a few weeks so am aiming to do this all myself then as I have plenty of time. From reading other topics I expect that I will get a few scratches on my knuckles along the way but I am hoping it is all worth it.
