  1. Hi everyone :) Haven't been on here for a while as nothing has gone wrong until now. Noticed a noise on the brake pedal when you release the pressure once stopped and it's getting worse. It appears to be from the front ns and the noise travels up to the abs pump and actuator area under the bonnet on the os. There doesn't seem to be any difference in braking at slow speed in traffic but sudden braking or at high speed seems to grab the front ns and it pulls to the ns before straightening up again. Its not the front calliper and the noise sounds like a low volume donkey so I'm going to get it plugged in and see if any of the sensors will show whats going on, Its only started doing this since the mot March when it was put on the brake tester (which I have not seen them do before) as this was a new testing station to me and may not be relevant but it seems coincidental. The vehicle is due another service next month but as a safety thing I'm Not letting my wife drive it until its been sorted.... So any idea's ? 47k 06 and all I done till now is a 12volt battery and four tyres.
  2. Mine has done the samething tonight the skid light for traction with warning triangle and in the display vsc,ecb and pcs system. I have had a look on the web also and can't find an answer. Think it must have something to do with the brake pads or a sticking calliper so will have a look at the brake fluid level to see if it has dropped due to the low pads. Don't also want to put it in to Lexus. Mines a 34k gs450h on a 06
  3. Dont think the build quality is as good as my earlier model gs300 sport of which i based my purchase. My 06 450 went back to the dealer to get the rattles and squeak done under warrenty to be told after that its not covered didnt pay as not happy but they done it under dealer good will but have returned worse than when it went in. The dealer had put something under the drivers door trim to pack it out and when the door is closed it pushes on the dash to stop tha rattling, IT DONT WORK. When the car is driven and things flex the noise from the panel rubbing ain't good so think I'll have to deal with it myself. To much plastic and it won't see a lexus dealer as don't trust them now but found a good lexus trained independant.
  4. LS 430 has 5x114.3 stud pattern with a et of 35 LS460 has a stud pattern of 5x120 with a et of 35mm which means they won't fit without adaptors.
  5. I think that the gs mk1 was the better motor as it was there 2nd car to be released in the uk as had to be better than the other main stream cars in build and service. Feels more roomy than the mk2 but thats my opinion. :D Got a mk3 now 450h as i had to change due to a leg injury but can't get used to it but maybe over time as had the mk1 sport for 10 years and very reliable I must say. Still gets a look for an old car as you don't see many around. Its up for sale but not in a hurry to sell it unless the right offer comes along
  6. Been waiting to post so here goes.... Just had my 450h back from the recall and gave the rx back, it was ok but still prefer the gs. 2006 model with 26k and the only difference is the sound of the engine when it goes from and to battery, it sounds much quieter than before and also it looks like they have done a software update on the car. Good service except for the engine cover clips missing of which i complained and are going to send some in the post.A drop of squirt in the tank and a clean can't really fault the service :D
