  1. Hi all, I bought a used lexus last year with low mileage approx 36,000 2006 model. Purchased from a lexus dealership that I have previously bought from. Very happy with the car but there was no service book with the car. Got misplaced I was told. My question is, can mileage be verified from the fob key??.
  2. sorry man but those alloys look manky...just my opinion.......i like the rear spoiler fitting but wow!...those alloys.....wrong.
  3. OK just to update, got my lexus back from main dealer today and thet say they cant find noting wrong with my car......so either im imagining this sound/rattle or they couldnt find anything wrong with my car........either way im totally besotted with my now 3rd lexus......i had an avensis courtesy car for the day and omg what a dog of a car....seriously, how do people drive these run of the mill cars.....i dont mean to sound like a **** but man im so fortunate to drive a "lex"!
  4. Hi man, sounds like a similar problem to my own. I have a 2006 with only 36k on it and i have this rattle noise coming from the engine also. Bringing it to lexus dealer wednesday so hopefully we get it diagnosed. Its bugging me at the moment i must say. Picked the car up last month, everything else is sweet with car apart from that. I let ya know wednesday how i get on.
  5. Hi guys. I tried out not using 6th gear this morning on my way to work which is about a 25mile commute mainly Motorway and got a steady 48-49mpg doing just under 60mph at about 1700rpm in 5th gear. The same trip yesterday using 6th gear @ 1500rpm doing 65mph got me only 43mpg, so a bit slower for my journey but a decent improvement on my mpg I reckon. I hope this helps.

  7. Hi all. I am also looking at changing my set of tyres on my 220D, I quite fancy the Toyo Proxes T1-R(nice thread etc) but have noticed on camskill that Toyo also do what seems like a specific tyre for our car "TOYO TYRES / CAR / TOYO PXR32A LEXUS TOYO PXR 32A "......the thread does'nt look as nice as the T1-R though. Does anyone know what type of Toyo would best suit our car,(mine are 225 17 front and 245 17 rear) Currently I have "federal" on front and "Nankang" on rear......I want to have a set of 4 that match, I will be importing the set into Ireland from Camskill more than likely.
  8. Thanks for that, i rang them yesterday and so im waiting for a call back on when I can bring it in. It does not sound too serious so at least, I got 515 miles from a tank of diesel, the on board trip read out said I had 30miles left in the tank so 545miles in total if i left her run to empty. I was driving the car on a wee bit as its the first week I had it and opened her up a bit on occassion. I will drive my normal style this week and see how my mpg is. Thanks again.
  9. Hi all, new member here, I have just purchased a 06 IS220D exec with only 34kmiles on the clock. She's a real beauty, imported from The Uk last year by a Lexus Main Dealer here in Ireland. I have previously had 2 IS200 SPORT models and so I well and truely HAVE the lexus bug now at this stage. My only slight concern is a rattling/vibration type noise I heard this morning on my way home from work, coming from I think either just behind the centre dash/console or maybe at the top side of engine, close to windscreen. Its only audible with the radio off, however its not that loud, you would have to be deliberatly be listening for it to hear it. Its audible only when driving and not when stoppped at traffic e.t.c. It lasted the entire way home (25miles) and so was not due to the engine been cold or anything. I have a 1year warranty starting from last week with the main dealer and so I know I can get them to sort it but I want to know exactly how to describe it to them first. Just on another issue, I mainly bought this car for the (i hope) better mpg than the previous petrol version I had. I consistently managed to get 400miles from a full tank from my IS200 and so I'm hoping for close to 550-600miles from the diesel version. Currently the on-board dislay has my tank average at 41.4mpg Sorry in advance for this long winded post, its my first time!
