  1. It had an apexi ecu, although I've been told you can use a standard one with a stand alone fuel management system or chipped.
  2. Mines needs a new ecu to run, wots ur's like?
  3. Does anyone know how I would return a Altezza that has a turbo, intercooler and apexi ecu back to standard, apart from buying a standard ecu, is there any difference in the wiring?
  4. If they don't JDM performance definitely do! Hopefully will have it sorted soon, just hope it doesn't happen again.
  5. 5w30 I think, there's a few dealers that supply apexi parts, need to check if they supply for altezza tho. It's got a blitz turbo timer, it does work and I use it all the time although at times I haven't warmed up properly. From checking that post on the nz forum I'll need to try setting it up right, seeing if that makes a difference. Although I don't have problems with the commander coming on. Just the actual car itself. It might also be worth mentioning that since I've had the car the engine management light has been on, the guy that I got it from thought it was caused by upgrading to a turbo??
  6. I'll replace the tenso plugs just to rule them out, best way to describe them is too hot.
  7. Before I can even attempt to workout settings of the ecu I have to figure out why my car won't stay on. The car turns on then cuts out after a second, reving makes no difference. I have attached the commander to the ecu and my spark/electrician has told me he feels the ecu is at fault as it is turning my injectors on full. When the car was running it was reving up to 3000 rpm then really slowly going up, not much reaction from the turbo, with a slight kick when u release the pedal. But like I say now it won't stay on. My only options at present are buy a factory ecu from down south and have it mapped or buy a new apexi and commander and the same, only difference is the time I need to wait on it and the cost. The fuel I use is super unleaded, best stuff available. There's no leaks, had one small oil leak but cured that and replaced the oil with correct oil according to book from nearby parts supplier. I'm completely baffled by solutions of fuel management systems, is that an attachment ontop of an ecu or replacing.
  8. I meant greyish not Gregory lol
  9. I'm really unsure, I've only had the car for 2 months before it started playing up, it was imported earlier this year. Judging by the Gregory spark plugs I'm guessing the previous owner was a hard driver lol. Can you translate anything on that site? Have you bought from them before?
  10. I have an RS200 turbo, intercooler, and induction kit. I have a faulty apexi ecu, can I use a standard ecu. If so does anyone know where I might find one?

    Apexi Ecu

Anyone got a commander for an apexi ecu?
  12. Handed my RS200 turbo into my sparks today who plugged in his computer into my ecu plugs both under the dash and bonnet and it could not find either one, got something on some of the controls in the car from under the dash but not the engine. Wot now lol??
  13. Yeah, cleaned the maf, seems to idle a bit better, was running it today and it was pulling off pretty slow, very sluggish til the turbo kicks in. But in general it's running pretty slow for some reason. Might service it see if that makes a difference.
  14. Cool, I understand. Don't suppose u know how to boost the signal for the tv, almost getting some of the channels.
  15. I've checked the MAF sensor and it seems fine. It's an electronic throttle in the car, so I don't know if it's as easy to detach and clean. I'll probably take it to the garage to let them have a better look. I'll find out more about the ecu next week as I'm sure it's an aftermarket one.
  16. I'm fine with doing it myself, just doesn't look like from my photos that I've even got a maf sensor. There's a plug on the back of the induction kit??
  17. Check the photo of my engine bay http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=66738&st=0&gopid=719436entry719436
  18. Lol it might be harder on mine, if u look at the picture u'll see what I mean. IMG_0043.JPG
  19. Ignore that last one mate, seen ur links, thanks, very helful info. I'll probably be selling the car soon so want it running good.
  20. Call me an idiot but what and where is the maf sensor?
  21. I'm not sure of the power or the ecu as yet. Hopefully I'll get it on the rolling road next week, then I'll have an idea. The guys mentioned something to me about putting another chip on it. Thanks for the links, looks like useful stuff, although like those guys I'm struggling to find either a 5" sat nav or 5" LCD computer. The other problem that's bothering me is the idle, it currently bobbs up and down between 1000-2000 rpm, most of the time just under 2000.
  22. Hi guys, recently bought my altezza rs200 turbo conversion. 1. It idles just under 2000 revs in town, sometimes bobbing up and down between 1000-2000 rpm 2. When you first start it in the morning it doesnt idle, just cuts out. You have to keep the revs up for a minute or two. My mechaninc reckons theres a problem with the electric accelorator motor??? anyone any ideas?

    From the album: my car

  25. Cool guys thanks. Ive had my mechanic test the car, he says the clutch is normal. The boost is currently on going up to 0.3 bar. Its going on a rolling road next week then possibly getting remapped. Where can i find a sony touch screen, and is it easy enough to replace the current one? and where does the power supply for the sony go? Another thing, are both mirrors supposed to retract of just the drivers side?
