  1. Strange, my earlier post didn't...post. Do you have any pics of the IS300 ones?
  2. New or used? Got 50k on them, but in perfect nick.
  3. If you still need these, I've got some rear IS300 shocks for sale cheap.
  4. Ooh do you happen to have the sellers details? I was about to lay down the reddies and get them direct from Lexus.
  5. Like these.... Apparently they are the IS250 all weather mats, but also are a 99% fit to the 1st gen IS200/300.
  6. 1. Wash 2. Clay 3. Wash again 4. Polish 5. Wax 6. Quick Detail Spray (to remove any residue) 7. Drive through puddle, go back to step 1 :)
  7. This is the one I use mate: http://www.i4detailing.co.uk/acatalog/Megs_G220_1.html Not a true 'rotary' polisher, but at least with this one you cant leave big circular holes in your paintwork if the wife distracts you while polishing :P Also might be worth considering claying your car if you havent already? Removes a lot of the surface contaminants and makes polishing a lot easier.
  8. Yep. That was with SRP followed by a coating of High Def wax. Granted I applied the SRP using a rotary polisher, but you should get similar results by hand if you don't have a machine to do the work for you. Don't get me going on car cleaning...I could talk all day about it :P
  9. I've heard good things about 'Chips away'. Not sure if they are national or not though :s Doing a search for 'smart repairs' should turn up a fair few companies. Then its probably just a case of getting some before/after pictures from them for their previous work, and not taking the cheapest quote.
  10. Cheers mate :) Black really is the best colour for showing off all your hard work imo (shamless plug) :P
  11. Sorry, SRP = Super Resin Polish Yeah I used to use (and swear by Mer) many years ago when I had a brief spell in car detailing. But there are so many better polishes and waxes out there now. As for stone chips, if you want an easy (yet temporary) fix - take a look at the Turtle Wax stone chip sticks. For something more permanent look at a touch-up kit, or call out a professional company do do it for you.
  12. SRP is one of the best polishes in my opinion. What you can do now is protect that finish with some AutoGlym High Def wax. Here is my baby with that combo from a month or so ago: EDIT: Oh and Mer is poo :)
  13. I've got a set for the rear going cheap if you're interested mate.
  14. Hi mate, your best bet would be hop on ebay and do some searches for racing mesh / tuning mesh. Look for stuff that's pre-painted / powdercoated and has roughly the same diamond pattern size as the standard mesh (to retain the OEM look). Almost all of the mesh on ebay will be easy to cut using only tin snips / wire cutters. Then you can just screw it to the back of the bumper using the holes that are already there.
  15. Interesting bottom lip you've got there mate. I did see that on another bumper once on eBay. Is it a genuine Lex part?
  16. How about these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/18-mercedes-genuine-AMG-alloy-wheels-vw-audi-/320615688578?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Rims_Car_Wheels_ET&hash=item4aa62f2982
  17. Are the Merc wheels any good: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GENUINE-MERCEDES-AMG-17-C-E-CLK-SLK-CLASS-ALLOY-WHEELS-/290500659896?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&hash=item43a3304ab8
  18. Hmmm maybe. I need to see how much clearance I've got at the mo as there are two massive speed humps right outside my house. I don't want to have to change the damper settings to 'silly hard' either. At the moment its set soft enough that the Mrs and kids dont complain, but hard enough for me for me to feel like I'm driving a much sportier car :P
  19. How about installing some REALLY bright interior lights. Then dont lock the doors until you get to the front of your house :P
  20. Lol that is low! Looks like your suspension collapsed with two fat opera singers in the back! What size wheels you got there mate? Maybe its just the pic but they dont seem to to fill the arches (width ways)
  21. If 2+ drivers is what it would take I could always add the Mrs on there as she is the company accountant? Cheers for the info Mike, I shall give them a call and see what kind of deal they can offer.
  22. Personally I'd say forget the sports grille. The one you have on there currently offers more of a contrast to the red I think. (IMO)
  23. WOW dude those spats look badass! I really wasn't keen on the silver cars, but on red...BADASSS! /me wants.
