Hey guys want a general figure for how much my is200 is worth. Looking to trade it in with a 2005 lexus and wanted to see how much money i would need on top. Mines a blue is200 1999. 90k miles with part service history. Theres 4 lexus stamps in the book with a recent service. Its beige half leatehr interior. Its the Navigator model with built in sat nav. All the usuals like 6 cd changer air con heated seats standard alloys with brand new tyres all round. Will have a 12month mot at half year tax. Condition overall is 8\10 body work is rust and dent free and paintwork is great. Interior has no wear or tear. What other information would help you guys come up with a figure for this car.

Its obv a problem no car i no even my 1979 vw has backlights on the dash and dial. so you deffinatly ethier have a bulb out or a loose wire

Its whats called boost creep or fuel cut. Which basically means the car puts you in a boost limp mode which explains the lack or power and acceleraction. As said a simplfe FCD will sort this out.

Ye i know the new models do. Its just sat navs were fairly new when the is200 was made and im so used to using the postcode search as its a pain to spell the street name and location all the time. If anyone can help in regards to the cd update would be great

Is there any way of entering a postcode to locate the destination or do you only have the option to use street name?

Why did lexus change their minds in regards to the guide book. On the service book says 100kmiles but did they relaise the belt was lasting that long in the real motoring world?

Ive heared many things about diffrent times and milages in regards to the belts some mechanics say 10 years or 90k on these cars and others say 5 years or 50k miles. Non the less i will be gettign mine done. I woulodnt mind taking the new lexus for a test drive so arrange to have it while my cars in the garage :D

How olis your car mate? aww yeah they said they owuld drop me off into town and pick me up but i would prefer another car as i would have to travel. They said they would service and do the belt all in one day.

Thanks mate :D Yeah its had a new ball joint disc's and pads already :-D i better start gettign the money toghter for the belt and pump.

I dint really realise until last night how clean the alloys were :-D not one single mark on them atal they actually look brand new no sign of dirt build up on them but the previous owner dint mention them being new lol i aint complaining!

Thanks guys. As mentioned i will be doign the water pump at the same time. I have tried contacting a toyota specialist but still waiting on thier call back. Its just a hassle to get to my closest lexus dealer. The guys said it would be £600 for the belt and a service. Does anyone know what is involved in a 90k service?

This is what i picked up over the weekend. Staying standard for a while this is just a second car!

My cars comming upto 90k miles and doesnt seem liek the belt has been changed. Called The dealer in carddif and quoted me £400 parts and labour. Is that a fair price and also whats the average cost for a standard backstreet garage to do it. thanks Mo

ive got a 2000 model and i totally agree worst mirrors in the world. The curved mirror doesnt give any indecation on how far thigns are behind you. Was driving home on the motorway and every car looked like it was tailing me. The side view mirrors aint exactly perfect ethier. I would like to get a flat style mirror so im on the hunt for a 2002 model one. Or im goign to just replace the glass with a universal version.

Same here but i dont fancy having one shipped from thailand.
