  1. Wife didn't like the interior, but I can talk her round. Spalling part ex offer against my saab so trying to sell it privately then will recommence the search. Auto willl be the preference for sure
  2. As a budget tyre goes, I can recommend Falken Ziex 914' at 225/40/18 they are £71 a corner on camskill then I get my oval Indy to fit for a further £10 a corner, so £320 for 4. If you don't want that, blackcixrles will do 4 for 360 fitted and you get double clubcard points if you use them.
  3. That's the problem I've got. I like the saab, but the luxury of the Lexus is missing
  4. Thanks bobbyc. My is200 cost me £500 for its major service also, so the costs are not that different if you budget for them. Cheers for the break down
  5. Budget wise, up to around 8k if the motor is straight. How come a 60k service is so much? Are we talking plugs water pump etc. ? Or is the cost just bumped up over an ordinary service as the plugs are so expensive and labour costs high to change ?
  6. My demand list is growing :-). 250 not 220, 2007/2008, sub 60k, fsh, Auto box, really nice owner, good tyres and rims. MLS, anything else? I think I may have more luck finding the holy grail
  7. Good god you guys should be salesmen. Hoping to go looking at the weekend. Just not too many 250's in Essex currently
  8. Gliptone do a leather cleaner and conditioner pair. Not that expensive but bring tired and dirty leather up nice and clean and leave the leather nice and supple
  9. Cheers chaps, 75/25 in favour of the 250 now. Just need to remind myself that around town I'll drop from my current 30mpg to 20 again (which sort of influenced the move to the saab) most short trips I now do in te wives alfa so it probably will mainly be motorway mileage
  10. Thanks silver Arrow, must admit it was where I was heading in my head, but something was telling me give the 220 a chance
  11. So 18mths back I reluctantly sold off my is200 sportcross in favour of a saab 9-3 estate. Now as much as I have enjoyed the saab, I keep coming back to the fact that I miss the fit and finish of Lexus. So. Been looking at 250's and 220's around 2008 reg 60k on the clock. Seem a lot more 220's than 250's available but having seen some of the gripes written here I'm sort of put the 220, or should I be? I'm not looking for mega mpg 35-40 is more than enough for me so what else should I worry about on the 220, or is the 250 all round better?
  12. Booked in for Friday.. Had two since I've owned and not even an advisory. So appart from a lot of fuel a £145 service and mot each year is what it takes to drive me around.. Oh and road tax and insurance also mr officer,
  13. http://www.sparkplugs.co.uk/pages/pricing/ccp/denso-sparkplugs.asp Sk20R11's are oem spec and should be good for 100k. To save a few quid I fitted the ik20's which aren't as long life, but just as good.
