It maybe just a condensation problem, if your getting a lot of condensation on all your windows then try leaving the A/C on all the time, this will help to dry out the air in your car and reduce condensation, however if it just coming from your sunroof then take advice from above

The services alternates from minor to major the odd services are minor and the even services are major, until you get to the 60k –6 year service witch is a major service plus extra.

I believe some Lexus dealerships have some re furbished wheels in stock, you drive in they change your tyres onto the re furbished wheel and you drive out, a lot less hassle, although perhaps being a Isf this may not be the case.

Hi kev, The batteries failing is not something I have herd much about, and off the two reports I have read Lexus corrected both off these quickly and with little or no expense to there owners. There are also at least two owners on this site that have GS 450h’s with over 100k mile on, and one with over 150k, neither have experienced any problems with the batteries. But as you have pointed out batteries don’t last forever, but nor do engines and gearboxes. Lexus have decided to extend there Hybrid range, and the last thing they would want is reports off there batteries failing, so personally I think your be ok, and also the 450h is a all some car.

My local Toyota garage would not touch my Lexus, they told me that it needed to go to a Lexus dealership for there technicians to look at it. (this was 4 years ago, things could have changed since then) It probably doesn’t mean much but the Lexus technicians wear different stile of overalls than the Toyota mechanics.

If the key is removed from the car while it is running You should get a warning on the dash saying something like. “key not in car” or something like that, but I believe the car will still run and continue until you turn if off, but without the key you will not be able to re start it.

I might be completely wrong but I am sure I read somewhere about this problem, some body solved it by rocking the car, not sure if it was a manual or auto car though.

I agree with Rayaan’s suggestions on protection, I use wolfs hard body, and so far so good, although I don’t do a lot of motorway driving and when I do I tend to keep well back from lorries as I consider them as the worst culprits in throwing up stones.

Lexus official metal dust caps normally don’t corrode on, but if you buy your own they might, so put a little Vaseline on the thread and unscrew and screw them up again every couple of months just to make sure they don’t seize. Keep the wheels and valves free of brake dust this will also prevent corrosion. The wheel shown below was of my 2008 GS 450h, 4 years old when I sold it.

Most are probably demonstration cars, when a manufacturer brings out a new model they tend to give one to all there sales staff to use for 6/9 months.

Ring around your local Lexus dealerships and find the best service cost then go back to your nearest dealership, they will normally match it, I managed to knock my service cost down from £330 to £230 by shopping around. As for the MOT, I have never used Lexus for this, nor has my brother in law, we both use “just mot,s”, as in the title they only do mot’s, so no incentive to perhaps find fault, and a free mot if it fails. Dealerships charge different prices for there services, probably down to different labour costs depending on were in the country they are located, I just paid £230 for the first service on my GS450h f sport, although I was originally quoted £330 from my local dealer.

I spent over 20 years as a Driving Instructor, covering close to 1 million miles and tried many types of these gadgets, none of them ever worked and I sent them ALL back with my findings for a full refund.

Iam not 100% convinced that they are going to produce a GSf, the photos don’t show anything different from a regular GS except the stacked exhausts, which to me don’t look very well put together. The GS is not a lot bigger than the IS, so I don’t see the point of a GSf, and for the amount they will sell I cant see them developing a new engine so it will probably be the same engine as the ISf
