  1. This is the MY17 facelift - there are 4,000+ in the UK.
  2. Lexus EV sales were 5% last year of total sales. Toyota EV sales were 0.5% (0.53% if you include the 25 Mirai sold). Figures for the bZ4X were 1,249 in Jan 24 (20% of total sales and compared to only 553 for all the months on sale in 2023) so I suspect they are pre-registering and forcing demo / courtesy on dealers and company cars on staff to minimise fines/credit purchases.
  3. I don’t believe the list is complete. The IS series III facelift should be there with the RC.
  4. If it went into limp mode then the CEL would come on and there would be error codes stored that any quality code reader could be able to pick up.
  5. and it is brought from a reputable seller as there are a lot of fakes. E.g. purchase from Amazon themselves not an unknown seller on Amazon.
  6. Actually the WLTP figure for the IS300h is pretty accurate (and all other Toyota/Lexus hybrids too), much better than the old testing methodology which the 64mpg was based on: Sadly, WLTP for EVs is not realistic.
  7. No, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability became standard for MY20 models but it was also made available as an upgrade for the earlier MY19 launch vehicles. At the time is was around £100 for the upgrade.
  8. Have you plugged in a code reader to obtain the fault code(s)?
  9. Yes that is a poor response. If it is that known an issue then they should be supplying them with the vehicle - anyone who can afford a new Lexus EV is likely to take 2 week holidays! Plus a solar charger would have been completely useless during the last 3 months.
  10. It's a problem with all modern cars, especially hybrids and EVs. Some EVs (Tesla and some Kia/Hyundai for example) will auto wake and charge the battery itself if it detects it going flat.
  11. ASC Windscreen wiper de-icer Auto High Beam Rear sunshade Parking sensors Blind Spot Monitor
  12. Yes they do, but the OP has an IS250 (non-hybrid).
  13. LBX is now showing as an option from Admiral, although only one grade ATM:
  14. It has CAN bus enabled headlights - whether the theft device being used specifically works on the RC F or if the wiring is easily accessible I don't know. I've not heard of anyone here reporting theft or attempted theft.
  15. What type of system do you have - is it a rotary controller (standard) or mouse type controller (premium)?
  16. No they haven't. For older vehicles they are installing trackers and immobilisers and newer ones have updated firmware in the main body ECU to detect hacks - that isn't anything like implementing encryption across the entire CAN bus.
  17. These specifics aren't for your NX, so some of the values might be slightly different, but it gives you an idea of why it sometimes isn't available or cuts out at different times:
  18. Just because your vehicle wasn't part of the recall it doesn't mean you couldn't have an unrelated one off fuel pump failure. If it got to the point where warning lights were displayed, and errors codes generated, then your dealer will hopefully have an idea on the cause and look to fix it - if you have had a Lexus dealer service in the last 12 months then you Relax warranty should be covering any issue related to the engine or fuel system.
  19. as above. It should only be used to avoid fumes in your garage or being quiet as you arrive/leave your house in the early hours. Forcing EV mode normally results in worse fuel consumption compared to just letting the vehicle do its thing. The cancelling of the mode depends on throttle, temperature, battery state of charge and speed.
  20. A firmware update is highly unlikely because the system as a whole, and the multiple ECUs involved, aren't designed for signed communication and would likely require hardware replacements, not just software. Going full encryption will never happen on these old models - Toyota/Lexus isn't even using that on current models).
  21. Fuel pump failure leading to cut out of the engine whilst being driven which is seen as a safety issue, hence an official recall. Owners would have been contacted if their vehicle was in-scope, but you can double check here: https://www.lexus.co.uk/owners/about-my-lexus/vehicle-recall
  22. The RX series IV should be less prone because it has both direct injection and port injection to keep the valves clean - the IS250 engine was only direct injection so valves never get washed and cleaned by petrol and its detergents.
  23. Lexus likes to have its cake and eat it with leather options. It costs £ 1,900 to take a Premium Plus grade from Tahara plastic to Semi-Aniline leather, but you get £ 0 back if you downgrade a Takumi grade from Semi-Aniline leather to Tahara plastic.
