  1. Ive got an IS200 and the front headlight washers wont pop out. This morning i have just resolved the problem i had with the pipe coming off on the drivers front side which fed water to the washers. Now i have put the pipe back on the washers make the noise of trying to squirt the water yet they dont pop out? How do they work, is it off a motor or do they pop out with the water pressure? Could anyone give us idea to why they are not working?? Cheers dan
  2. Cheers matey, just gotta start doin it this weekend, sounds like a bit of a ball ache taking the bumper off to see if it is a cracked washer bottle but hey these things gotta be done!! Thanks for the reply monster mat Dan
  3. Ok so...ive got an IS200 54 reg. Did a weekly check on the car and put water in the windscreen washer filler. Two days later the missus says there is no water coming out of the jets. Checked the bottle and all the water is gone. Filled the bottle up again and checked underneath the car and it was leaking from the left hand front side of the bumper. I can only presume its cracked the bottle with the cold weather? Dont think the pipe has come off because when i fill the washer up and try cleaning the windows, water does come out of the jets. Can anyone give any suggestions as to how hard it will be to change the bottle? Thanks alot dan
  4. Ive got an IS200 and when i turn the air conditioning on it gives out a really musty smell. Im actually an a/c engineer myself and know that when this happens the evaporator coil needs spraying with an anti bacterial spray, but as im not a mechanic i dont know how difficult it would be to try and clean it on the car. Or is it a case of taking the car to a garage? Could anyone give me any advise, thanks alot danny.
  5. I live in manchester so i just searched on google for places around here. I was warned to be quite cautious of some companies that charge cheaper prices that dont do a good job of the refurb. I Suppose like you say its a case of getting reccommendations from different people. The wheel specialist are a nation wide company, who they say the refub will be done in one day? Thanks alot for the replies really appreciate it dan.
  6. Ive recently bought a Lexus IS200 Sport with the 11 Spoke alloys. Its a 54 reg and the wheels have visable scuff marks. The paint is also bubbling up in some places as well. Is there any point getting them refurbed or would it be better idea to just buy a new set of alloys? Ive got a quote from "TheWheelSpecialist" in manchester and they quoted £269 to refurb them. Im just wondering, will the refurb wheels be back in the same condition after a year or so with the paint bubbling up? Any suggestions?? Cheers dan
  7. Thanks alot for the reply, thats daft dont you think? So the only way any interior lighting will come on automatically, is if the back doors are opened and the front light is only for a reading light. Ok thanks alot (ps. When the front doors are opened no interior lights come on at all? Am i right in thinking that at least the middle should come on?)
  8. Ive got an Is 200 Sport, but the front interior light doesnt come on when any of the front doors are opened. The middle interior light is set to "door". The middle light comes on when the back doors are opened. The front light works if you press the button in but obvioudly doesnt come on when the doors open? Anyone suggest anything, cheers dan.
