  1. Followed the first suggestion Normski. All sorted. Worked great. Ok, lost all saved phone numbers, destinations etc., but ok, at least nav working normally now. So, if Lee Riley still suffering with same problem, here's the answer! Many thanks, Andy
  2. Thanks Normski2. Will give it a go. S'pose it makes some sense in resetting ECU... Hmm.... Keep you informed... Andy
  3. Hi Lee. I have exactly the same problem. Thought possibly due to dodgy or old disk, but my disk for the UK is from 2010-11 so not too old. Changed disks for another one from Western to Central Europe (which also includes UK obviously) and no change, same problem. See you've had no answers. Will pick the brains of a couple of people I know. Keep in touch. Thanks, Andy
  4. Forgot to mention Ian, the windscreen was first changed a few months ago for a non Lexus one, but has now been changed again, due to awful quality of heater elements at bottom of windscreen giving up and shorting out (I think), to a Lexus one, which looked different and believe, obviously is the best and only choice. Thanks again.
  5. Thanks IanS200. Will check drain holes and pollen filter. Many thanks. Footwells seem dry at the moment. It's strange, the aircon only smells musty and windows steam up on occasion, not all the time.
  6. Hi to all, My RX350's air-con is beginning to smell musty and sometimes misting up the windows too. I wonder if 1. I should clean the system with Coma air con cleaner and 2. if there is a blockage somewhere, as I recently had a new windscreen fitted and noticed a fair amount of water at the base of the windscreen sloshing around, especially with the wet and cold weather we've been getting recently. A blockage somewhere? Both related? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Andy
  7. Recently noticed engine management & VSC lights coming on, clearing after several start-ups (believe this is "self-clearing"(?), during which slight engine fluctuations at idle. Today, worse, with noticeable engine lumpiness definitely at idle, clears after a while. Does anyone, off the top of their heads, heard or knows of this? Many thanks in advance, Andy
  8. Thanks for that Steve. Phoned a few garages who were happy to diagnose only engine ECU codes and nothing else. Found a great independent Lexus/Toyota garage, diagnosed and fixed! Cleared all other codes, main 2 were exhaust solenoid and I can't exactly remember the second... basically the compressor had power running to it constantly, found a wire that had corroded due to prior water ingress and apparently shoddy repair, re-wired, tested, all done and ok. Garage: UKTEKNICS in Maidenhead.
  9. Hello to all! Recently, on my 350 SE-L , on the dash by he rev counter, below the three green diodes for the suspension settings, a yellow " OFF" has started blinking. It began a few days ago with the VSC and engine management light on, then those disappeared followed by the "OFF" light. Could be anything I suppose, have visions of big bills etc Ride is normal though, but obviously won't go up and down. Last night I attempted, on level ground (?!), when after starting the engine, the light didnt come on, to raise and lower the car.. Heard a strange creaking, unhealthy sound, returned to normal and hasn't changed. On all the ime now. Will probably have to let closest Lexus have a look. Could anyone shed any further light on this or had previous similar issues. Many thanks in advance, Andy
  10. Hi to all. Advice please if poss. My 06 RX350 suffers from a judder I think in 3rd gear around 30-40 mph area. It only disappears either after coming off throttle or more throttle. Doesn't normally happen during brisk acceleration. Worried as heard of U.S transmission failures. Makes the whole car vibrate so quite concerned. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Andy
  11. Forgot to mention mine is a BRC system fitted by Tasso Autogas.
  12. I had my RX converted over a year and 20,000 miles ago and everything seems fine, including flash lube system, start-ups, switching over, running etc. Noticed a slight increase in exhaust fumes. Great in town, on the motorway, use it for work, no problems at all. Andy
  13. Hi Steve, Recently had my '56 RX350 serviced at main dealer as part of a two service package. Obviously, quite expensive. Would you, or anyone else out there, know the actual difference between a ''normal'' service and the ''Essential Care'' version? I do anything between 20-40k miles a year in the car, drive for a living so of course need the motor to be ok etc. Cheers
  14. Hi Steve, I'm also planning on an iPhone connection. Did some trawling through the sites, all seem to offer systems that plug into the rear of my cd autochanger and therefore disable it. I would prefer, obviously, for both to work if possible. Do you know of any systems out there that would suit me? Thanks, Andy
  15. There are 5 kits that I know of out there 1) Lexus 2) Dension 3) Vais 4) Grom 5) Dice Personally I think the Dice is the best as it it supports songs by album. Forget the lexus and Dennison which are playlist based and more expensive, Vais is probably 2nd and the grom is a cheap alternative with less Nav screen integration. Dead easy to fit yourself - search in the forum and you will find someone has posted a step by step guide (link below) 10 min job (2nd time around!!) allow 2hrs first time. Grom and Dice are sub £100. If you want video then Vais probably. Note none of these support audio over bluetooth to my knowledge. Fairly sure that the last 3 all support 3g on all mk2 RX radios but you may get slightly less functionality with older Nav units links: http://www.diceelectronics.com http://www.incaripod.com/ http://www.dal-tec.com/index.php http://www.carputer-shop.co.uk/usb-car-kits-c-7/usb-aux-ipod-mp3-adapter-toyota-lexus-p-47?zenid=4afe9e83dd1fcce1be3086c46b99e71c http://www.cheaptoyotaparts.co.uk/index.php?page=shop.browse&category_id=44&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=71 http://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-second-generation/227901-vaistech-sli-installation-instructions-w-pics-for-04-07-rx.html http://www.vaistech.com/dev/home.php http://www.gromaudio.com/ Hi Steve, I'm also planning on an iPhone connection.
