  2. Ive just ordered myself some of these headlights and rear fogs for my '03 is200. I saw another Lex' with them fitted at the BHP show at lydden hill and was adamant I needed them on my car. I've bought mine from car gym, but its going to take a while for them to be shipped over from the states. They sell them with either chrome or black backing, and also in left or right hand drive variants. Just in case you wanted to know...
  3. Hey mate, what colour have you ended up painting your calipers? I chose to paint mine black after a month of indecision. Its not that noticeable but it certainly smartens up the car with a more subtle look instead of red calipers like every other young lads car. Let me know how you get on with the 6x9's, I've got a sony xav60 with a bypass lead and thats it, and the sound quality is alright at the moment but distorts if I want it loud.
  4. Who's going to be going to Castle Combe for this years Japfest? I only saw a few IS200's last year, and it would be good to see a few more! http://www.japfest.co.uk/
  5. I got some BC coilovers put on my IS200 this week by Sumo Power, and they did a great job, the only problem I had with the whole affair was insurance. I was with admiral, and when I told them i was thinking of it and wanted a quote they said they would no longer insure me. I looked around and Adrian Flux did me a brilliant deal, and only put my insurance up by £50 with my coilovers stated on the insurance.
  6. Ive got a working original cd player from my 2003 IS200 if your interested. I'm not a fan of the standard headunit so I changed pretty soon after I bought the car.
  7. Basically, I'm looking to get my IS200's windows tinted legally, and professionally. I live on the east coast of Kent, and was wondering if anyone knew anyone or anywhere in that area that would do a decent limo tint for me?
  8. To be fair I've seen just as many middle-aged and old people driving around in IS200's with their fog lights on, simply because they are too arrogant to turn them off.
  9. I scuffed a rim pretty badly today thanks to the snow as well! once you start sliding on a cambered road theres sweet FA you can do :/
  10. Hey everyone I'm trying to prepare for fitting a new headunit in my IS200 next weekend and I want to get everything i need before i start working on it. There are a few questions I've got and any advice on the whole process of fitting an aftermarket CD player that you've heard of or experienced yourself would be hugely appreciated. Firstly, how do i tell if my car has the amplified system? Its a 2003 model if that helps. Secondly, What radio harness will i need? I've been told by an 'audio specialist' from a local audio engineering company that none of the current radio harness's made for an IS200 do not actually work. If anyone knows of somewhere on the web that sells a harness that does actually work without having to re-wire it, that would be great. :) Lastly, is there anything that i must avoid doing at all costs? I dont want to shoot myself in the foot and have to go driving around on the motorway for hours during the week because i've messed up over the weekend trying to fit a new headunit... Cheers!
  11. Nice pictures mate! I've been looking at getting some ultralites for mine but im struggling to find any for my price range. How much did you manage to get yours for if you dont mind me asking?
  12. Ive got the K&N replacement panel filter and all I noticed was it was a little throatier up to about 3500 revs, mpg is the same as the standard filter. I do a lot of motorway driving along the same route every weekend and i couldnt see any difference in mpg. :-/
  13. Where abouts have you moved the horns to from behind the grill? Ive been tempted to do the same but havent really done much about it.
