  1. Hi - any news on Gaydon yet? We had over 20 soarers at the last one and can't wait for the next...
  2. If a new venue is chosen I'm sure the coordinators will bare in mind that Gaydon / Billing are ideal for their accessibility for pretty much the whole country, venues in the midlands are pretty much ideal, but i know its a trade off against cost. :duh:
  3. Really enjoyed the 2004 event, great turn out, fantastic venue, a really good day out. Any news on the 2005 event - presumably will be in March again?
  4. Tried it again last night, accessing the 'my garage' section is actually ok for me, its trying to view it like a regular entry (i.e. just a normal viewer, not the owner, with the thumbs of the car and the mods on the opening screen) it doesn't work, hence when I link to the garage using the suggested URL in 'my garage' (posted above), it times out. Did any of that make any sense? Sorry its hard to explain...

    V8 Vs Tt

    i. Whats the overall performance differences between the two types >> V8 will always pull of the line quicker but when the TT's turbo spool up it will tear past until around 90 when things even out. 0-60 is 6.5 for TT, 6.9 for V8. Mod wise you can get 330 bhp out of the TT for relatively little money, V8 requires a supercharger then 400 bhp should be attainable. ii. MPG what kind of figures would I be looking at for each model. >> For a V8, I used to get around 20-22 before I spent money improving the car, full service etc now I can hit 24, sometimes more with optimax. More for the 3 litre model. iii. Servicing costs and intervals >> Oil+filter every 5-6k, Cambelt every 100k, to be honest the rest you can really do yourself as and when you like, there are plenty of tutorials online even for the oil. Cambelt for V8 is around £400, which should have been done on import (check history) iv. I know most models are auto's. though I read somewhere that you can buy an auto then have a manual installed. I was just wondering if anyone has had this done and what kind of price are you looking at for such a procedure. >> Nearly all soarers are autos. The only manuals are the TTs as far as I know. V8 conversions have never been done in this country however in Australia quite a few have been done, the kit is available to import, then its a question of finding someone to take on the work, lets just say it won't be cheap, but it CAN be done. You won't be dissapointed with a V8 model, if you go for a UZZ31 or UZZ32 (airsus/active) make sure the EMV is in good order, check the aircon pump works ok, those are the big ones. My advice would be don't bother with a TT, if you want something fast, buy an R34 skyline :) :zee:
  7. Shouldn't be the image pages, I'm on 1.5mbit broadband! It just takes ages, the ticker gets to halfway then pretty much stops. Also I had a subscription to this thread but still managed to miss all these posts - wierd!
  8. Been having troube accessing my garage section for a couple of weeks now, the link is very slow loading, and often doesn't load at all. The link I'm trying is http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...&CODE=12&CID=62 Is it just me or have other members been experiencing problems recently?
  9. That report looks familiar ;)
  10. I think NOS is a better option for us V8 owners really, TT owners have far more options available which probably prove to be better value for money.
  11. You have a PM. For anyone who's interested I got the kit from www.jic-magic.com, the kit isn't on the website but drop them an email.
  12. You can buy soarer bodykits from www.whifbitz.co.uk and Tsunami phone number is 0191 - 4781 666 They are on Southshore Rd, gateshead and they also have a couple on websites www.japshop.com and www.tsunamiracing.co.uk and http://www.msionline.co.uk/index2.htm Or you can do what I did and import a kit from the USA, I got the JIC magic kit to my door for about £1000. Checkout for more info; http://www.toyotaimportsforum.co.uk/forum/...40&pagenumber=1 http://www.intellexual.net/faq.html
  13. I'm looking for a good place too, local (Basingstoke)
  14. I emailed to see if they do / will do the SC400 ;)
