  1. It's inherently an EV problem. My hybrids were never as poor battery wise and could be left for weeks without issue. AA man said 50% approx of callouts now are EV 12V batteries discharged as they keep putting smaller and smaller batteries in. Porsche Taycan seems to be a regular.
  2. The canbus theft doesn't affect the new gen RX. Just leave the keys in a metal tin or Faraday pouch
  3. Most headlights from factory are lower than the MOT standards and sensor failure for self levelling is actually quite rare It may be worth getting checked for cataracts as that tends to cause excessive glare
  4. That is correct. There is a diagnostic charge initially and it is the same as most manufacturers under the approved used scheme or extended warranty. If the fault is found and covered by the warranty then it'll be waived and everything fixed under the warranty. If not, you usually pay the diagnostic charge and then the dealer will give you a quote which you can choose to accept or not. More than likely the sunroof drains are blocked, more so if the car has spent time under trees
  5. Depends on a multitude of factors. Let the car do it's thing. No real benefit to using EV mode apart from if you want to travel in stealth
  6. I had the same. Was an injector. Causes the car to shake a little intermittently at idle
  7. Itll be the injector or fuel pump. Had the injector on mine but was sorted under warranty
  8. They're the same. They didn't change the mirrors
  9. Change one tyre if the other is approx 70% of tread remaining. Doesnt matter what tyre you put on as long as its the same type of tyre as in summer tyre in your case The changing tyres in pairs after a puncture on a 4wd car is a good money maker and nothing more unless theres a large difference in tread
  10. You need to create an account on Lexus Link+ and hold the key up to the power button for it to register to the key.
  11. Its more likely due to the lack of information from an insurers point of view and being a brand new model that its artifically elevated to make sure the insurance companies don't lose any money. Happened once with me when I bought a new Mercedes back in 2003. Was a new model and it didnt exist on the system so essentially just plucked a figure out of thin air
  12. Too many variables to consider but it makes sense if the fuel economy has worsened larger wheels / tyre combo is heavier. Even more so with runflats compared to normal tyres
  13. This shouldn't happen. Needs a dealer visit. I've never seen that at all
  14. Hold the key up to the power button when doing it - I had the same issue but holding the key to the power button does seem to work - not really sure why
  15. Even better on a 500h. The rear wheel steering is massive help. Not sure if there's an option of this on the 450h+
  16. I think the first mistake was leaving their premises. They may be willing to help and that will show how they are as a company. Unfortunately, most of these companies bury their heads when a problem arises so you may not get anything!
  17. To get rid of this screen you have to create a profile and link the key to it. It will keep coming if you don't have a profile linked
  18. No because it doesn't exist. Well known Lexus secret unfortunately
  19. There is no colour code. Its needs to be matched by eye or both done on the same side
  20. So the speed bong is annoying. Starts off at ever 1mph over I thought it would save my settings when I added my user profile to the multimedia but it still doesn't seem to recognise my settings. Anyone manage to stop it or does it have to be done every time the car turns on?
  21. I think if we're being realistic, it would fetch about 10-11k as a part exchange. If you sell it privately it may get up to £13k. But that all depends on how the market is doing and at the moment its not doing massively well so there could be an increase drop
  22. No mistake there Any car over the £40k band pays an extra £390 which I believe is for the first 5 years. This has been ongoing since 2017
  23. I've given up on Adrian Flux - they've almost always quoted more than double what any mainstream insurer has provided me with for a number of years running.
