  1. Yes thats what I meant - Should have said option on all F-Sport's and Standard on the Premier
  2. Post a picture of the damage and should be able to tell you if it's a decent estimate as per Lexus standards. They will be replacing rather than repairing doors etc
  3. That is incorrect. It was an option on all IS250s apart from the Premier model
  4. TBH id rather hardwire it by piggy backing a fuse Everytime the car gets serviced they'll remove the OBD adapter to carry out diagnostics and you wont have any footage at that point. If its hardwired in itll be running constantly unless the car is turned off (or all the time if on a constant supply fuse)
  5. Cost - roughly around £70-100 a wheel. It normally takes around 1-2 days so yes it will be out of action for that period of time. Its not a modification and in all cases you should NOT tell your insurer about changing the colour of your wheels. It generally depends on whether it will affect resale value. Some customers may be particular and think the wheels have been extensively kerbed hence the refurb. It will be non original and customers will be able to tell this, as will Lexus dealers who take the p/x. Usually powder coated wheels are more durable but the trade off is that the finish is nowhere near as good or uniform as a painted finish. You have the option of getting them diamond cut or wrapped.
  6. I wouldn't declare these little things. Especially stickers or painted calipers. They will put everything down as a mod to shaft you. Half the time they don't even inspect the vehicle after a claim anyway
  7. It's harsher and noticeable but I don't think it's too bad. Drive them for sure before purchase
  8. Ride is smoother on a premier but the F sport looks better IMO. The seats are different too. Worth having a test drive. Hasn't needed any repairs apart from a worn bearing. Mpg I get is around 30mpg short trips around town and about 35mpg on a run
  9. They seem to affect different cars in different ways. Nextbase with some VWs was horrible, couldnt get the DAB to work and no signal. Sent it back. Seems to be fine on the Mercedes though.
  10. You need another dash cam. Nextbase ones are notorious for DAB interference. Ape-man and Viofo don't cause this especially when using a hardwire kit with a magnet on the end
  11. Normal battery most likely gone Doesn't necessarily show any errors on servicing. It's a bit unusual that the manual key didn't work but yes, definitely need to use pliers or a very quick motion to get it to unlock properly
  12. My Lexus insurance only went up by about £100-200 on both of ours. Not too bad at all. Went up £200 on the Merc too so its not exactly just Lexus vehicles involved. Its a widespead thing mainly due to the number of claims after COVID, **** drivers, uninsured idiots and the cost of parts amongst thefts as a whole
  13. Brake lock is good. Wont even be able to drive it. Can be found on ebay and theyre quite thick so cant be cut through. The buttons available are chosen by the manufacturer. Id throw the fob away far in a river somewhere tbh. Ghost also has a app but again, it works from almost 10m away so no good. We had one fitted to the Golf and its been great so far.
  14. CeramicPro, Pyramid Car Care, Gyeon all do very good ceramic products new craze at the moment is graphene though Siramik does a full graphene coating. Usually lasts about 2-5 years dependent on coating. It does need looking after and sometimes top ups are required so there is a maintenance scheme you should follow. If its going to be taken into the local handwash or motorised car wash there is really no point
  15. Doesnt need a run necessarily. Just get it turned on for 10-20 minutes every 10-14 days. I cant imagine a solar trickle charger working very well in winter
  16. Ouch - bad luck all around that is The gate more than likely will be a real pain to get sorted. I think itll be hefty repair bill - somewhere around £5-6k. The light alone will probably be about £1k and Lexus tend to replace bumpers / tailgates rather than remove dents / repair it
  17. I used a leather cleaner on the seats and it lifted some of the colour. Ive had good experience with using APC 20:1 or weaker whilst still removing dirt. I dont get the time do it as often as Id like so it does get quite grubby too. Maybe once or twice a year for me at most
  18. There's no official touch up but gliptone / LTT do some colour match to sample leather restorers. In terms of cleaning just all purpose cleaner in water is enough followed by a leather sealant. Harsh leather cleaners make the dye come out of these seats and degrades the top coat finish on this particular leather in my experience
  19. Good review. "Cramped" is surely relative though and I wouldn't say he's exactly the average size of a human
  20. Its very difficult to get a true idea of how much service history would affect the value. One thing you could do bar the MOT history, is to get a Carly obd dongle and do a used car check through the obd port. It'll give you the true mileage of the vehicle and sometimes does contain service information as well I.e. when it was serviced etc
  21. I suppose its no different to a 6 pack of walkers crisps used to be about £1:20 on average could even get it for a £1 in some places. Now its around £1.95!
  22. Probably a puncture / irreparable tyre- likely replaced by a New T005 tyre Tread were being consistent generally means it was done quite early on the cars life
  23. All fuel goes off so to speak. But it does tend to go off on E10 a lot quicker Ive noticed how quickly it goes off in our ride on definitely much more than I used to with e5
  24. Insurance prices across the board have gone up same with myself I was getting around £500 for insurance on my RX and the cheapest now is £620
  25. The leather marks look entirely normal. They're much softer than BMW leather hence they stretch more especially if you've been having the BMW Dakota / vernasca leather which is processed to the point of almost being vinyl The faux leather on Lexus is more hard-wearing in my opinion compared to the normal leather
