  1. The easiest way to remove is use a hairdryer and dental floss, then remove the glue with some tar/glue remover. Should take less than 5 minutes in total. No entirely sure if it would help though as usually the people targeting cats will probably know which cars they need to target
  2. Yep theres no difference between the GS-F mirror and standard GS-F Also the IS and pre-facelift RC have the same mirrors
  3. Spotted a Red Lexus RC-F today on the M61/M62. Reg was AMA70N i think Looked absolutely epic with what appeared to be aftermarket wheels. Anyone on here?
  4. Although most manufacturers do recommend winter tyres which removes the problem during the winter which is when it happens most.
  5. My RX did it too. Essentially a car wants to go straight when the accelerator is pressed even if the steering wheel is turned full lock. On the RX the front tyres had <3mm tread, bought new tyres and it resolved
  6. Well they do it's called the UX300e and order books are open so.....
  7. I think the ES looks brilliant in F-Sport guise. Remember that you can actually add the Takumi pack to the F-Sport in order to get you the best of both worlds. Having said that, for what you are looking for in terms of comfort, the Takumi will probably be the better option
  8. C Currently it is cheaper to run an EV not taking cost of purchase into account. I can imagine as more people jump on the bandwagon, the government will start hiking road tax as well as duty on electricity
  9. Car is running fine. Starts up when left for 3 days so not too concerned at the moment. Will probably get it fixed at next service
  10. Not really laid attention to it. Once the AA guy came and charged the battery I wouldn't say it's any different to be honest. I'll probably get the car priced up for a new battery at the local dealer. See what they say but I'm expecting around £300
  11. Thats a gone battery without even getting a voltmeter out. Mine just did the same thing after 6 years. Its highly unlikely to be an alternator
  12. So, 6+ years later, the first issue arises with the IS300h. Ours is a 63 plate, so one of the early ones Admittedly, one that I diagnosed before the car was even started by the way the door mirrors opened. Yep, you guessed it, duff battery. AA man recharged and car is fine. It was left for 2 weeks as we were on holiday. A relatively simple and cheap fix so Im very pleased to be perfectly honest.
  13. Worth remembering that the design is actually from 2009. The facelift was just that. Lexus do very little to the actual vehicle apart from quick nip and tucks
  14. Mine is still smooth. However, I do remember there was a recall involving the rear hatch and ECU as well as the motor so perhaps it's related.
  15. I think it's in the dials menu not the large screen menus. The sensitivity is much better on max it opens up very well
  16. The screen should go light and dark automatically. That's the factory setting and mine does that from new. The diamond cut wheels will corrode on these. The f sport ones won't as they're painted. You can also change the sensitivity of the "footless" badge trunk opener in the settings somewhere
  17. I think the only touch up close to the OEM finish is phantom grey. However, I've got to the stage where I find it inexcusable to kerb wheels even mounting kerbs. Trick is to just not go anywhere near a kerb parallel to it
  18. It's one of the biggest sellers in the US. It's definitely coming.
  19. Toyota are correct. Relatively speaking the demand just isnt there. Tesla model 3 - 2018 had 173 new registrations, thats all models. BMW 320d had over 2000 new registrations on the 320d model alone which shows the vast majority of the public just aren't buying them. Things work differently in the US. They're patriotism is over the top so you get an American brand like apple for example and they'll be all over it. UX300e was announced a few days before your comment.....
  20. Yes, full 4 wheel alignment check should be done at service time. And as with my dealer, they send video of the vehicle and its alignment test paperwork taped to the front bumper lip whilst the car is in the air. Inner tyre wear isn't a known issue on the RX so most likely its an alignment issue, or a vehicle that spends a lot of time in towns going over the humps where the inner side of the tyres scrub
  21. When they say 2021, they mean 2021 MY. So I would say around March/June announcement and first deliveries in December 2020 I expect the new NX to be revealed in due course..... Only a few more months away
  22. Yep the UX300e been revealed and will come out next year The NX should get a full refresh next year with an electric powertrain
  23. I dont have any engine vibrations, its silky smooth. The two issues I have had is the rear door seal coming off. It was replaced with a newer version which is a lot stickier and since then no problems. The second thing was it developed an intermittent misfire. They changed the faulty injector and had no issues since.
  24. I presume the fuel was correct in the end then? Any further news on it then. I'm interested to find out what it was
