I don't think your remote is registered properly to you, I had a similar problem. Go through the setup process again, you may need to hold the remote close to the start button as part of this. Once set up properly, the car recognises you and the accept terms and conditions page doesn't show.

I have the same issue. Do you mean the key when you say remote?

Didn't realise you had to hold the key near the start button

  2. I would appeal on their website stating that the letter was received after 15 days to no fault of your own (Christmas holidays, postal backlog etc etc).

They should reduce it to the lower amount. At that point just pay it. Parking eye have and will take people to court, sometimes it also ends up on your credit report if not paid and they issue proceedings.

This is my small way of deterrent..... parking as close as I can get to the wall in the hope that there is no room to work. !! along with steering lock and camera

Don't think it'd matter how close you park to the wall with the new NX.

It's got encrypted canbus anyway so they won't use the canbus method

How does the 6-speed transmission compare with eCVT?

Despite all the adverse reviews I have grown to like the eCVT on the 4th Gen, most other manufacturers with a conventional automatic offer 8/9 gears so 6 does seem a bit short changed.

Not had an issue with it so far. Tbh I can't even tell when it's changed gears so is quite similar to a CVT in that respect.

However, when accelerating hard to join a motorway for example, you can tell it's a conventional automatic and it makes it much more refined in my opinion as you don't get that surge in revs

  5. I turned that one off as well and its not turned back on - kept giving me messages to pay attention also when I was looking away.

Only issue I seem to be having is that I cant get connected to the multimedia system - the car has been registered to the Lexus Link+ app and I can see journeys / location of the car, just the multimedia system doesnt seem to register so I can't setup my own profile. Not sure why this is

    Hi,

What does this do exactly? The owners manual is a bit vague on the technical aspects i think.

I can feel a definitive difference from 'normal' mode but not much from 'sport'.

Have it in 'custom' mode for towing, drivetrain and engine in 'sport'

    Cheers

Sport mode will sharpen the throttle response and the steering wheel .

Sport S+ if you have it will stiffen the suspension as well as the above.

    I thought the same initially.

A few kms here and there maybe but not a couple thousand:(

Yep thats going to be a tough one to sort out because there's no way to prove either way.

If you do more than 15K miles in a year it doesnt matter though because you'd need to service it before the date regardless.

You could try fighting against Lexus UK and the dealership, alternatively present your car earlier for servicing / just take the risk for a few thousand km

Hello esteemed and  RX owners .  I'm still searching for a replacement RX.   I'm trying to assess values.  Parker's list 2 versions of the F-Sport Takumi pack: an e-CVT or an e-four?   What pray sagacious owners is the difference?  How does one tell if it is not listed in the advert?

Which years are you looking at?

I believe all of the hybrid RXs are E-Four and E-CVT bar the RX500h which is direct 4 and 6 speed auto

I took delivery of my first Lexus (350H) October this year.Disappointed that I wasn’t supplied with a second key on delivery (which I am still waiting ) and also surprised no wheel locking bolts fit,not even a wheel nut socket. To be honest wasn’t impressed with the dealer and their response. I had much better service from my last VW main dealer.Lovely car but spoiled by these issues.

Its not exactly "an issue" and is a well known thing.

There are part shortages leading to the lack of supplying a second key (which I believe are now coming through). Additionally Lexus UK did not supply wheel locking bolts and have taken responsibility if any thefts occur. Again, customers have started getting the locking bolts through.

Just email Lexus UK and they should be able to give you an answer or book you in for these items.

I have rimmed a wheel on my 15 month old Silver RX450H resulting in Anthracite (PVD finish) alloy refurb required.  Visited several alloy wheel refurbish locations and had discussion with Lexus dealership with outcome these PVD finish wheels fitted standard cannot be refurbished and only solution appear to be replace all 4 wheels - Lexus price quite £1200 - ...... Individual wheel refurb normally around £100 not possible on PVD.

Has anyone else encountered this issue with Anthracite finish wheels refurb not possible ?

Would you be able to post a picture of the wheel

In general any wheel provided it isnt very dangerously cracked or has chunks missing can be refurbed - it might not match the other wheels though and typically you can choose to get 2 done on one side, or all 4 refurbed depending on how particular you are

    HI All,

I recently purchased a 72 plate RX450H premium sport. The tyres on it are 235/55/R20 's . There doesn't seem to be a great deal of choice for this size.

    Tyre sizes

So my question is (as I have no idea about these things), is would a 235/50/R20 fit OK, i.e. is there any leeway in the profile size? If there is, is there any impact on speedo / mileage?

    Tyres

I put some Cross Climate 2 on the Honda CRV we have. I've also had pirelli scorpion verde all weather on my previous RX. What others would you recommend. The CC2 seem fantastic, was out in the snowy weather last weekend in the CRV and it barely noticed.

    thanks

I believe the CC2s were available but they then went out of stock in that size.

Otherwise there's not any leeway unless your prepared to inform the insurance company.
