    Hi, I was looking on toyodiy.com and I saw that on my lexus 220D have 2 EGR ( I've attached the pic ) . Last time I've cleaned only EGR no 2 ( I don't know about EGR no 1) and now I have big fuel consumption ( 12.5 l/100km in town ) . Do I have to clean both EGR s ( no 1 and no 2) ? Thanks, Claudiu

    I'll use 5w40 full synthetic , is more flexible. Also I'll use this oil ( made in USA ) .

    Hi, What kind of engine oil do you use for your IS? I have to change it and my local dealer has recommended 5w40 full syntethic . The car's manual said 5w30 , API CF-4 or CF and ACEA B1 . I can't find any oil with ACEA B1 ( Castrol or Mobil 1) . I can buy Mobil 1 5w40 ESP Formula M or Castrol Magnatec Disel 5w40 What do you think ? Thanks, Claudiu

    I've documented about the new Lexus IS headlamp. The new headlamps use DRL(daytime running lamp)system. Headlamps are physically compatible, but they have other connections for DRL (light intensity control for DRL) , so are not "Plug and play". I'll use the old lexus is headlamps :( Claudiu

    Hi, I have to change on my assurance my both headlights ( Lexus IS 220D - 2007 ) . Do you know if the new headlights ( from new IS with angel eyes) are compatible with old IS ? Thanks, Claudiu

    The original lexus wheel nuts are flat. When I changed my wheels I've used conical nuts from ford mondeo . Also,you can use mazda nuts.

    You should open the front panel (clock inside). First insert two mini screwdriver-like pin (can be found in accessory toolkit box) into the small holes on left and right. After you pushed fully, you can pop out the panel. The navigation dvd hole can be found behind this popped-out panel. Select "Eject navigation dvd" from the touch screen menu and change the disk.

    Salut Adi, I had the same problem like you , with a same car purchased for Netherland . Also I'm from Bucharest :) The switch is from dvd player. If it is on, you can play movies etc when driving .     Hi, When my car ( lexus is 220d - 2008 ) stay for one day at minimum -5*C , when I start the engine, for 2-3 minutes is heard a metallic noise . That is happen when the engine is cold and outside is a low temp ( - ) . On the video the noise is heard on second 21,25, 28 ... Thanks, Claudiu

    Hi, I bought a Lexus IS 220D, which is still under warranty (I have 2 months warranty). The big problem I have is that a high consumption (13.5l/100 km in city, highway 10l/100km). I went to Lexus dealer in Romania, but did not fix the problem, because the car is not registered in their database for changing the 5th injector, and the ECU has not stored any error regarding the injection or a catalyst filter (DPNR filter). What could I do? how to provoke an error that is being stored in ecu? thanks
