  1. Yea will do...will need to get a battery for that one though because I know its dead!
  2. That does make sense however this from was my home drive where the car has been parked for nearly 3 years! Once I parked in town when I went to get a new battery the fob still wasn't working there either! I'm confused!
  3. Hi Chaps, Can any of you help me? I have a 2010 IS250 and twice now the key fob has stopped working to open/lock doors. However the bizarre thing is I could still open the boot by walking up to it, just neither of the two front doors would acknowledge me standing by it despite holding the key right besides the door. I had to open the door manually using the key (and setting the alarm off ) then start the car by placing the key by the start/stop engine button for it to be detected. I thought the battery in the key was dead so visited a watch shop for them to replace the battery, they tested the battery and told me it had full charge! So I returned to my car still having to use the manual key at this stage. I returned home and left it a few hours...returned to the car and all of a sudden its been working fine again ever since. My car is still under warranty for about another 2 months and I know Lexus won't really do anything unless I can replicate the issue to them (which I can't now). Have any of you experienced this issue or know what the issue can be? I'd appreciate any help. Cheers, Sunny
  4. I have a 2010 IS250 F-Sport and my rattling has started again so its definitely related to cold weather. When I first purchased the car I told Lexus about this, they wanted to hear the problem themselves. I went to the garage took them for a drive and the car was silent! They refused to look into it unless they could hear the rattle themselves. My car is still under warranty so its a know issue I'd like to get this resolved if possible.
  5. Thanks - I am aware many people have tinted this car before however the F-Sport's middle rear brake light is different to a normal IS250. Normally the light is on the bottom on the window so it's easy to shape around, but this model its raised with 2 legs so the film needs to go around it. I will try and get a picture tomorrow to help explain. The company I am using are the largest on the South Coast and do all the tints for the local Mercedes and BMW cars amongst many others (www.sctints.com)
  6. Hi, I wanted to get a light tint on my 2010 IS250 F-Sport however the tinting company said they may have an issue because on this model the rear brake light is standing on the rear parcel shelf and pushing raised onto the rear window. Therefore they may have a problem working around the light. What I wanted to know is, has anyone had this model tinted if so how did they get around the brake light issue; and how easy is it to remove the brake light? Cheers, Sunny
  7. I tried doing mine the other day but it kept blowing the fuse. It was Micro Red 10 Fuse. When I contacted the LED company about this they said its a common problem and basically I need to replace the fuse with a greater strength one like a 20! Did anyone else have to do this? Hi I think the "LED company" are telling you porkies, LED bulbs use less power so if anything you could reduce the fuse size, are you sure you haven't trapped a wire or something similar ? nottonto Thanks for the reply. You're probably correct, I haven't got a clue when it comes to electrical stuff like Voltage and Amps. It couldn't have been a wire issue because as soon as I replaced the LED bulb with the normal one it lit without blowing the fuse. But thinking about it now could the fuse have blown because I had one normal bulb in one side and one LED on the other? Could that have caused the fuse to blow? Cheers, Sunny

  9. Rav, these are bleedin awesome. I purchased the exact same item, from the exact same seller, 3 months ago. They are extremely bright, and just look ingenious at night. With the addition of LED's (again, with a blue tinge) as replacement of the uselessly tango'd side lights, it's worked out pretty well. It's also an inspiration to those humouring me about getting "neons" to go with them, but I can tell they are envious with such remarks. I have also purchased these as well. How easy are they to fit? I lifted my bonnet for the first time (I'm an IT Geek, don't know anything about whats under the hood) and everything seems to be out of touch. Can you pop them protective covers off and easily reach the area to push in the replacement 501 LEDs? I thought maybe once they're off the plastic rivets won't fit back on. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers, Sunny
  10. Thanks for the advice Baldchap. When I got my car I initially put almost every after product on, but later whilst thinking about it I phoned them up and cancelled all of them. I'm not sure if they would have been able to fix this under the cover you have anyway as it would have been the same guys carrying out the work. The problem is I have the F-Sport which came out March 2010, by March 2011 they had slightly changed the model and the alloys. So my alloys weren't around that long. Lexus actually told me that if I couldn't find anyone myself to fix it the only other thing they could suggest was buying an entire new alloy $$$! The also said they don't hold any refurbished versions of this alloy! Think I'm just going to have to live it it...bugger!
  11. Sorry about the delay on reporting back on this one. So basically I took the car into Lexus, they don't do Alloy repairs themselves, they have local businesses that do it for them. I'm totally gutted because the 3 repair guys they use all said they wouldn't be able to match the F-Sport alloy colour Looks like I'm gonna be left have to drive around with the alloy like this for now! Major disappointment!
  12. Nice one! A friend of mine works at Lexus so I texted him a picture of it to show to the Body Shop people. He reckoned it was damaged beyond repair. But Lexus have my motor this weekend anyway so they're going to take a proper look at it then - fingers crossed I don't have to buy a new alloy!!
  13. Whilst cruising around yesterday running some errands, I made a stupid school girl error of steering into a curb :tsktsk: !! The most annoying this is my car is a year old tomorrow and I was chuffed of still having my alloys in mint condition. I suppose if you're gonna curb it you might as well do it properly! My car is at Lexus next Saturday for its first service, I'm guessing this is something they can repair in their bodyshop? Does anyone know if its fixable or how much something like costs to repair? Thanks, Sunny
  14. I have this problem with my brand new F-Sport as well. When I contacted Lexus they told me they weren't aware of the issue and told me to show it to them. When I took them out for a drive it didn't do it...dammit! I'm now left with the problem which still occurs occasionally! Thank Lexus!
  15. I have an 06 220D and my iPhone 4 works fine withe the Bluetooth. Hey Ash, Thanks thats really useful to know. Shame cos my cars only about 6 months old now. Guess it must just be a software glitch? Hope they can get it sorted for me!
